with the forecast tomorrow this could be very good watching.

Pro-Am's make for terrible television.

WTF Kenny, this one gives you some great looks at some great courses (yes, Bill Murray is there, but he seems to be on a much shorter leash over there, lol).

Lighten up and enjoy.

I know. It does look beautiful up there. Just isn't the same when the leaders are dotted about on different courses and not playing together, especially on a Saturday.

Very different forecast tomorrow, which might help defend the largely defenceless set ups.

Three words - no Chris Berman!

Yes, it can get a bit disjointed, but I like that with these courses - and of course the finale is one special course!

Shotgun start as well - appropriate finish for a Mickey Mouse tournament.

The prize money is real and so are the OWGR points. I'm not crazy about the format but its once a season.

The Brit announcers are great (Sky/GC). At one point they were commenting on the constriction of one of the courses and one of them stated something to the effect that the management had to hire "Polish people" to do the mine clearing during construction. This sent all them into a serious fit of the giggles, which lasted about 3-4 minutes. You could hear them off mic trying to gather it in, but failing. One of the funniest things I've seen or heard on a golf telecast.

Thanks for this, I was watching then and missed the comment that set off the giggling. Watched again this morning and they had another case of the giggles, not quite as long as the one yesterday. Some of the on course interviews are pretty funny, too.

I think the joke this morning was this. they were talking about the Road Hole, and one of them said that in the Open Championship he generally tried for 5 on that hole. If he made 2 fours and 2 fives he was very happy there, to which another answered "in one round." And there was plenty of laughter after that.

I really enjoy the Brit announcers. They showed Brooks Koepka on the screen, and his name was on the screen. One of the announcers, without identifying Koepka, said how remarkable it was that he has won 4 tournaments, 2 on the PGA Tour and 2 on the Euro Tour, and three of them are majors.

They assume that if you are watching, you are a serious golf fan. The US announcers talk to us as if we are idiots.

Unseen, in the background, Fate was quietly slipping the lead into the boxing-glove.  P.G. Wodehouse

Looking forward to seeing them play tomorrow if the conditions end up being what they say they will be.

The US networks/PGA Tour and Pebble Beach Pro-Am specifically could learn a lot from the ET coverage. Golf with a sprinkling of "famous" people and the occasional interview instead of "famous person" the occasional tour player, an idiot from ESPN followed by 5 minutes of commercials. Its hard to even watch anymore whereas this tournament I enjoy.

I also enjoy the humor and not feeling like everything is staged. Their jokes and laughter in the background is a nice change.

I used to enjoy the AT&T but the last few years, I think I have watched on a Sunday and that has been about it. Just too much rubbish that holds absolutely no interest for me.

the weather is not that bad yet, raining here but not so heavy down there.

said it was only playing 15 yards longer than the yardage there.

Yeah not the windiest or wettest conditions but combine the two with the cold temperatures and its tough. Clearly still score-able for a lot of these players.

I am not a fan of Hatton because of that. his twin Pepperell is a much nicer guy.

Pleased that Hatton didn't win, not a fan of the guy at all. Don't need to pretend to like him until the Ryder Cup in 2020 now.

Will Rich Beem ever pronounce Marcus Fraser's name correctly?

Did anybody see Rich Beems tweet the other day? He is, how do I say, very very dumb. I mean really really dumb.

“Today the whole world is the same age! There is only one chance every 1,000 years. Your age + your year of birth, every person is = 2018. It is so strange that even Chinese and foreign experts cant explain it!”

Thought that was a joke at first but it seems it wasn’t. I like him but he is certainly not the sharpest.

completely agree, so fed up with his childish actions.

In one of the European ryder cup team mates videos they asked who would be the best actor, to which Rory said Hatton for his reaction to imaginary spike marks, very funny

^^ In fairness to Hatton, he does have the self-awareness to recognise its not great and is working on his emotions. Also considering he let the tournament slip he was very good for doing a post round interview.

If you show no emotion, you're considered boring and lame.

But if you show too much emotion, then you're a spoiled, petulant millionaire.

We need a few characters who can play!
