Not usually a fan of really soft balls but couldn't pass up 2 dozen for $29 shipped. I'll give them a whirl.

Where did you find them at that price ?

https://www.ebay.com...ToAAOSwTw5biY-q

I picked up 2 doz and you only have to pay the shipping once.

the same seller has 3 dzns and 6 dzns deal with one shipping price.

I tested Duo U in back 9 at local (private) club. I liked it a lot; soft, long off driver/hybrid, ton of spin off irons but short roll off putter.

Green was very soft and moist so I tore off green even with pitch. So I gotta play at my home course consisting hard & dry green. I played new qst in front 9 but did not notice any difference in two balls except distance off putter. Duo U came short, resulted in 2 3-putts. URGH!.

These are the real deal. Played them today. Super sticky which I like. They do dirty easily so a wipe down is a must but love the feel, distance and spin.

Driver: Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond 8*, Tensei AV White 75g
Irons: TaylorMade P790, 5-PW; Mitsubishi MMT 110g
Hybrids: Ping G425 19*
Wedges: Ping Glide 3.0 50*, 54*, 60*
Putter: L.A.B. Directed Force 2.1, Polar BGT shaft
Bag: Ping Hoofer Lite Midnight
Ball: Bridgestone Tour B X yellow, Callaway Chrome Soft X LS

I think it spins more on chips and pitches than my normal 330 RX. So that's good.

I think it's shorter on driver and irons than the RX. So that's bad.

If I could find RX distance with significantly better short game spin, that'd be perfect.

I have a sleeve of Chrome Soft to try....

M4 Driver
4, 7, 9 woods

5, 6 Adams hybrids
7-GW Maltby irons
54 & 58º Wedges
LAB Mezz.1 box stock

Snowman, see if you can a sleeve of the current Wilson Staff FG Tour. Might fit the bill for you, I flip-flop between the RX and the FGT. Pretty similar.

The FG Tour ball is actually a very good ball. Now I don't think it is worth $40 a dozen but if you can find it for around $20-25 a dozen then that is a good ball at that price.

They have no logos on them. The seller on ebay "hurricane golf" said they are not seconds so who knows will play them and see. I really like the ball and so far have not seen a distance loss if anything a distance gain especially with wedges. I usually play a Z-star but really like the feel of these makes me remember the old Maxfli ht wound balls that I wish I could still get lol.

I've bought logo overruns without logos many times. I assume what that they ship only ship balls to the logo printer in multiples of X, and then they print logos on balls in various quantities. When they're done, they have some unprinted balls left over.

I concur. No logo. They are new but look old like how urethane ball gets bit yellowish when aging. But no issue in performance. I just think Snell MTB Black is my ball. Duo U is too soft for my test I realize from gaming 3 rounds.

I believe Hurricane is sold out.

I concur.

Yup - sold out.

I think I bought the last one. Played the Zstar and really liked the Wilson a lot. Wished I had bought the six dozen

but hurricane still has zstar xv deal

True, but wanted more for my winter ball. For the price they had them, I would have been completely ambivalent about losing one.

Driver: Mizuno ST-X

FW: TaylorMade Sim2 Ti (5 wood)

Hybrid: PXG Proto

Irons: Srixon ZX-5

Wedges: Taylormade MG2 (54* & 58*)

Putter: Cameron Squareback 2

Try the new QST (better than the original) for $9.99 for 6 pack. Could be a great winter ball.

Cobra F7+ - Stiff
Callaway V-Series 3 & 5 wood with Aldila Rouge Silver
Srixon 585 5-AW - Modus 105 Stiff
Ping Glide 2.0 Stealth 53 & 58 Degree
EVNROLL ER5
Srixon XV - Yellow

I tried it but it generates too much spin.

Too much spin on short game, irons or driver?

I was thinking about switching from the old Q-Star tour to the Duo Urethane because I don’t get enough iron spin on the QST, and I love the increased iron spin that I got from the Duo vivid compared to the Q-Star tour.

I’m low spin across the bag, so I’m looking for more spin, especially in irons. I am able to get that extra spin with the Duo vivid, so i was hoping to repeat that with the Duo Urethane.

sorry. off short irons and wedges. For those who seeks extra backspin on green, new qst would be great. Off driver, hybrid, and mid irons, it felt and performed well.

For me, qst is clickier than duo u.
