Last weekend went 58-43, blew my brains out on the front, made 5 straight pars coming in on the back. 101 total (never broken 100, shoot 40s on 9 regular but cant put 18 together)

I'm notorious for this kind of thing. Wish I could put together a whole round just ONCE lol. My most, let's call it "bipolar", round was just that. Shot 47 on the front and 36 on the back. I found magic with my putter(or luck) on the back 9. Made several putts around 15 feet or more to save par. What surprised me so much about it is I'm the type that if I start blowing up, especially early in a round, I get in my own head and basically just stop keeping score and give up. Even though this was far from my best round score wise, I still consider it one of my best rounds or best because it taught me one bad hole doesn't mean your round is dead. My mental game still isn't flawless but it's much better ever since that day.

I had a 14 stroke difference and went 51-37. Normally it’s the other way around for most people, but I almost always play as good or better on the back side on a good day.

To shoot 51, I was completely out of whack and felt like I couldn’t even hit the ball. Then I birdied the 9th hole and something clearly “clicked” on that hole, and it was pretty much lights out (for a 5 hcp) from there.

Done a couple of 48-36, on the same course. But that's my typical Jeckle and Hyde golfing. which is better then Jeckle and Hyde from one hole to the next.

14 shot diff

front 47, 3 bogeys, 2 doubles, 1 quad

back 33, 5 birdies, 1 double

2 weeks later shot 9 diff, maybe not so big a difference, but

front 36, 5 birdies 2 bogeys, 1 triple

back 45, 5 bogeys, 2 doubles

... still havent broken 80

I did this last year - shot 35/45 at my home course. Absolutely killed me as I also had not broken through. Finally got that sweet sweet 76 this year!

39-60.

To make matters worse, it was a shotgun start off 14, so that 60 was actually book-ending a career front 9. First round back after neck fusion surgery. I was so far out of the money coming off 18 I really didn't care what happened from that point, but oh! the pressure coming up 13 to avoid triple digits ...

I sometimes break 90. I started off hot playing with my dad and brother this weekend with a 41 (+5) on the back 9 (personal best 9 hole) with some mean wind. I carried that confidence over with a 50 (+14) on the front.

37-52 on a par 72 when I was about a 16 index. Me at the turn: "this is going to be my best round ever". Me at the 19th hole: "WTF happened?"

That was the day I stopped counting my score during the round. I couldn't stop thinking about the score I *could* shoot and pressed on every hole during the back 9.

48 front, 39 back on a new course to me.

trying to kick the cigarette habit while playing. Told myself i wouldn't smoke before my round started. Brought some snacks to substitute, didn't help. Started seeing red from one bad swing after another. If my friends took videos of my outbursts, it would probably become a meme on social media. The start of the back 9 didn't look much better, so i folded and bummed a cigarette from a friend on the back 9, and rattled off 6 pars in a row coming in.

may or may not point to smoking for bad play, but still...I need to find healthier vice while I'm out on the course.

I went 38-30 in a Florida Elite tournament at West Orange CC. Just didn’t get off to a great start parred one bogeyed two parred three (one and three are driver irons par 5s for me) -all pars then bogeyed 9. Birdied 10, 12, eagled 13, birdied 14, 16, 17 doubled 18 (was played as a par 4) so it could have been 38-28 or even 27 on the back...just keeps me hungry and practicing more. No difference in play or ball striking or even putting the ball just went in the hole only hit one shot “tight” the eagle on thirteen I hit an 8 from 183 to four feet and a wedge on 17 to an inch. All others were 10-12 feet.

My biggest difference in a meaningful round was 42 (+7), 32 (-3). I definitely did it the right way around, I'd have been p*ssed if i shot 32, 42!
