Maru, his playing partners and his crew were damned cool. No one was following them and they waved me out to check out their bags close up (like at a strip club, no touching though). I even shot the breeze with the player who's name is in Japaneese on his bag about his X-Blades and my Z-101's. (I don't know what his name is though because I can't read Japaneese :vava: )

The player with the Japanese writing on his bag is Hideto Tanihara. He's a very good player who has status on the Nationwide Tour, I believe. The fella with the visor dressed in black and white walking with the group is my boy Kaz. His is the job I took over at my local golf course and is my source for all things Tourstage/Bridgestone. Another pro who works with me has Maru's backup wedges, X-Blade utility, F-ST+ fairway wood, and 340 X-Drive Turbo Rubber driver. Kaz occasionally invites me to Angeles National (Maru's new home course) to watch him practice. FYI, Maru's caddy and manager share a room in his new Beverly Hills mansion!

Another note about Hideto's bag. The red/black emblem is also kanji. Guess what is says: TIGER!!

First and foremost I would like to thank Golfwrx and its staff for putting together such a generous exchange offer for the membership.  I enjoy snapping pics anyway, but its great that others can now get some enjoyment out of them as well.

I'm new to this board but I recognize many of you from BSG, TSG and the like...  so I'm not exactly new to the golf board thing  My first impressions of this site are very good and I look forward to spending quite a bit of time here and hopefully even chiming in occasionally with some good info.

If anyone has any questions, feel free to shoot me a PM or post...  I'll keep an eye out and try to answer what I can  :cheesy:

Oh... and some quickie observations while I'm thinking aobut it...

If you think you can beat David Duval you are wrong...  He was hitting it pretty damned good for a Pro and much much better than any amature I've seen.  I wouldn't be supprised to see things comming around for him.  And he still has the S2H2 three wood in the bag.

Hammering Hank really does hammer it and he was goofing with the Titleist 904 Prototype for a good amount of time (as was Robert Gamez, Lary Mize and a few others).  He also had some blue Aldila Prototypes in a set of Callaway fairway woods...  I have no idea about them other than that they said "Aldila Prototype".

The R7 fairway woods and dual rescues are catching on pretty quick...  I saw almost no V-Steels or regular rescues.

Guerin Rife makes some SICK putters as long as you aren't talking about the 2-Bar monstrosity.  The rep let me hold a Mid-Mallet design in oil can with a santa fe style flow neck...  I fell in love and I'd about give a finger or a nut to have one  :vava:

Thats it for now...  flex that broad band muscle and enjoy  :D

What up Zach?  The old man is doing well...  he's MrPar1Noid over here.  You should drop into chat sometime.  It's been pretty dead lately but most of the regulars drop in every now and again.  Also, congrats on being named the swing guru over here :vava:

Nobody seemed to mention it, but the "CG2's" in David Toms' bag sure look an awful lot like his old 588P's!!!!!  If Vijay can have TA1 CG1's, I guess DT can have his 588P CG2's!

Adam, unreal pics....Thanks a million!

Any idea on who's bag this is?  And here I was thinking that most players used blades, but whoever's bag this is, they seem to be using the 2005 LT's...

15842[/snapback]

I don't recall who's bag this was, but I saw at least 3 or 4 sets of LT's and about 5 sets of CB's... however I saw no one playing the muscle backs (blades). This is strictly speaking for taylormade iron players though...

After reviewing the pics and reading your description, I believe we were talking with

Kaz. The guy we talked with beside Hideto Tanihara's bag spoke flawless english. He was a very nice and informative man, and he seemed pleased that we knew a little and actually played Tourstage irons.
