Good players lose their game....even major champions. It's happened many times through history. I think he's a quite guy who has no interest in any of the hype and attention.

He was never a "popular" player that the media would want to show all the time, so the only way you'll see him on TV is if he's playing really well....or in web.com event

If he had Jason Days short game and putting, he would be a perennial top 15 player in the world...

Doesn’t do horribly chipping and putting but is very below average for Tour standards....especially up and downs

Long game is ludicrously good....like DJ level long iron striker...but he tends to miss putts (not mid read but actually miss) and mid range chipping is very avg, especially if he is in the hunt...

Nice guy but doesn’t have the innate soft hands of a day or Zach Johnson, rickie or Kuchar week in, week out...

Isnt this generally the problem with most players on the lower end of the PGA Tour and the Web.com? They are big league caliber with the long game, but just dont get it up and down enough, and dont make enough putts to get on and stay on the PGA Tour?

It goes well beyond the Web tour. A couple of players at my club one a mini tour and the other Canadian tour are absolute stripe shows. Putting and short game, but especially putting is the difference. If you are at the Web or PGA tour level you are amongst the best in the world at rolling your rock.

And for some, it comes in streaks. Like a on-and-off bat for a ball player who makes the show but then goes back down

On average the biggest difference is the long game. There still big gaps in the long game among top players and even lower level players on the PGA Tour

He has that quick tempo on his short game shots. When i saw it in person its stunning. Its like Nick Price light but Nick had ridiculous work ethic and found that consistency. Struggles on delicate shots but he loads the shaft insanely well in the full swing.Insane angles
