Putter Monogamy - Anyone find their soulmate?

Well so I was going to look at starting a collection of putters and I have bought 3 so far. HOWEVER, I do not have a special connection to any of them. They are kinda just sitting there and I can only use one at a time so part of me wants to just go all in on one special putter and use that exclusively. I have a SAM Putting Lab Fitting scheduled for this Friday and then I think I’m gonna sell off all the stock and get that special lady. Just looking for the forum’s thoughts on this topic and specifically what putters are worth the money:

I've had the same putter for 12 years. I've had a couple of six month affairs, but I always go back to her. She's a rife Barbados. So nothing wrong sticking with the same putter.

 

Of what you are looking at personally I love how Bettinardi are made, that would be my choice. If its just performance and none of the intangibles of craftsmanship etc, I'd suggest Evnroll.

Ghost spider slant neck. Found it for $60 used and beat to hell at golf galaxy 3 years ago. Never rolled anything better.

 

I just repainted it BMW Marina blue and matte black. Sweet.

I got fitted at the Bettinardi Studio back in February. It was an awesome experience, and I walked out with a Studio Stock 8, and it really improved my putting. First year I can remember not switching, I bought other putters, but it stayed in the bag. Probably owned over 100 putters the last 10 years, but will be down to 2 shortly. I picked up a similar model to the Studio Stock 8 to keep as a backup, and my plan is to put the putter purchasing to bed, as un fun as that sounds. Everything about this head shape and the way it looks/feels just suits my eye/stroke. Good luck in your quest!

I have been using the same Mizuno Bettinardi C06 almost exclusively since 2009. I have tried other putters but none for more than a couple of rounds here and there. I sold it once the second year I had it but bought it back after about a month.

I swapped putters for years. I’ve got 2 bags full of Scotty putters.. several odyssey, a Toulon, and some others. Always searching for something I putted well with confidence.

 

On a fluke, I putted with a 33 inch putter that had been cut down from 35. It was really light and short, but it worked for me. I’ve stuck with it now for a couple months and haven’t bought any new ones since.

bought this on a whim from a fellow wrxer for $50 shipped.

 

 

 

probably 2" too long, counterweighted, dinged up, could use a trip to BOS or continental or something... but i won't touch it. it's so good as is. made so many "important" putts with it since dropping it in the bag to try it out. bought a backup for some dumb reason.

 

odyssey black milled no. 1. the thing is butter.

 

 

i've had a stunning TP Mills that i couldn't roll for shyte. lesson learned. the most beautiful putter to me is the one i make putts with, and this misfit fits the bill.

I am a putter philanderer, and shamelessly switch between 5 lovelies.

They all have beauty, each in their own way, and they all respond to my caressing strokes.

Giving them a rest for brief periods heightens their anticipation, and subsequent response to my affections of them. They desire to perform.

I'm not a plumbers neck guy. But i love the flange sight-line, high toe and general shape (Very similar to a TP Mills SoftTail in many ways).

Yep, I felt the same about this Putter............until I found Bettinardi and the QB8. Not sure about the direction that Odyssey are going now but the Protype, Black milled range were the best that I have tried.
