I'm sorry but this is a completely ridiculous post. Scratch did not make clubs with non conforming grooves. We were not setup to do so all of our grooves were done in Japan not in house. I never told you that and changing the depth and width of the grooves is anything but simple.

I'm sorry, Ari, but we did have that exchange of communications.

I doubt if you'd remember every correspondence that you had at Scratch, but I only had that one so I remember it very well.

As for changing the depth and width of grooves, I found a local machine shop that has nothing to do with golf that can do it just fine.

It can't be all that complicated.

The IRON FACTORY--I don't know if they're still in business--did it as well.

Anyway, that's all in the past and I honestly wish NCW the best of luck.

But my question is this: will NCW accommodate the kind of special requests that I made to Scratch?

That's really all that I want to know.

Again, good luck.

something from my bag of putters--they all suck.

I know what our manufacturing limitations were and I would not have told you we could do something that we could not have done. Plain and simple.

I'm not disputing that milling grooves would not be that complicated for a machine shop. Scratch was not a machine shop we did not have a CNC mill. Everything we did was ground and worked by hand. So again I would not have told you we could do something that we could not do.

NCW similarly is not a machine shop we can't mill illegal grooves. In addition if we started to manufacture clubs with illegal grooves the USGA would start to consider all of our clubs illegal unless the specific clubs were tested which would cause a major issue w our clients on Tour and our clients that play high level competitive golf. I'd suggest using your local machine shop if that's something your looking for.

Remind me to use my real name and not my user name if I try to order anything from NCW!

Or I could spend the money on a cruise instead.

My wife would like that much better.

No need for you to contrive statements against a company that isn't around anymore for your own personal therapy session. Best you take it up with Ari personally, or not at all as it makes you look petty and foolish.

Look for a flugelhorn, a cornet, and a trumpet.

When you see the three horns, just skip the post.

Problem solved.

Topic cleaned up. Please keep responses on topic and civil.

Report suspected violations for us to review. DO NOT respond to them. All that does is create more of a mess for us clean up.

Well played.

Didn't want to be the one to say it, but will strongly agree :drinks:

We are running a little behind right now due to extremely high demand and Don being away from the grinder a little more than expected over the last couple months. We are all hard at work to get caught back up Don especially.

Anyone waiting on their project can email Patrick or I for an update.

In the meantime here is a finished Pic of our new CB at address.

Nice shape, plus being able to modify offset and toe shape etc. is an cool option as well.

I'd build them out a site for a set of clubs. In a heartbeat.

And I'm no college kid. I do it for a living.

We'd do it for a lot less than that. I've done hundreds of logos, websites, etc. Taught web design at a major university, and have over 20 years experience. It's only about $1K all in to get an entire branding package including a site and intro video with us, and our work is as good as it gets. Cheers. :D

What a company. I reached out on IG tonight and had a great conversation with them. They didn’t have to give me the time of day to the extent they did but I’m very impressed with the work and customer service. I know that this will be dream set and really good to one day afford a set in 5-PW.

After seeing their page I’ll never look at Irons the same!
