I'm a flea-market type of guy by nature, so I don't mind a little dust and a bit of a hunt for that magical find. I went to sell a bunch of stuff at the old Clubs & Covers warehouse (

). While he was pricing my stuff I spent a while browsing their inventory of old clubs, particularly putters. I'm pretty sure I could have stayed there for a week looking at clubs. The warehouse was packed to the gills with clubs, bags, and equipment. I walked out with an old Wilson brass putter that needed some TLC, but I could have easily spent a mortgage payment or two in there.

Other than that, the most impressive is the Master's merch tent. It's not geared toward golf equipment but it's an amazing operation.

Second vote for Roger Dunn in Santa Ana.. Miss having that store as my local shop.

3rd vote for Santa Ana Roger Dunn. One of the staff guys said, a lot of customers use their store as their free no cost driving range. What's ironic is this superstore is in Orange County to serve the affluent residence in the area.

There is no golf store in the United States better than the Roger Dunn Superstore in Santa Ana. Anyone that thinks any PGA Superstore is worthy, those places are a 1 on a scale of Roger Dunn being a 10. It's not even close. The customer service is bar none on exchanges trade ins and returns. They have a dozen hitting bays all with GC 2 launch monitors hooked up to big flat screens and automatic ball dispensers with automatic adjustable tee heights. That's on top of all the huge OEM Fitting studios at the ends of the store (Titleist, TM, Callaway). They have a Nike store, Honma Store, Scotty Motos and Limiteds, and a 2000 sf putting green.

Preowned club selection is ridiculous. Deals always can be had. This place should be a on the list of everyone coming to SoCal that likes golf. Have I said enough?

There have been times my wife and daughter need to attend a performance of some sort close by (it's not a familiy thing, more like a girls/womens event) and I'll drop them off, and I'll literally spend 4 hours at the store, no problem.

Every club in the store is available to hit into the monitors. You can grab 50 different drivers and hit to your hearts content. It is actually their policy there to encourage use of the bays, unsupervised.

I've been to stores where it's limited access, they tape every club up, etc. Not so at Roger Dunn, because they have every club, multiples, in every configuration, for demo. It's just crazy I tell ya.

Its very dangerous to my bank account living and working within 5 miles from Roger Dunn :-)

Roger Dunn is easy since it's local, best course shops I've visited were the PGA La Quinta and Stadiim shops

I used to be a Sales Rep so I've been in a lot of golf shops and I can tell you hands down the most impressive one is Roger Dunn in Santa Ana. Every manufacturer has its own enclosed fitting stall with either TrackMan or Foresight and I can promise you that you will never find a larger selection. They probably have 500 Vokey wedges on the floor at any given time.
