New Cobra CBs/MBs Coming Spring 2018

I did the EXACT same thing right about when you did looking for 4-PW in all MBs. They have been out of stock of the black 4-6 MBs for almost 2 months... The answer i got was:

Cobra: "It shows we have more coming in Mid August BUT to be totally honest with you those clubs have been out for over 2 years now"

Me: "Are you telling me you will be releasing a new one soon?"

Cobra: "I cant say but it has been out for over 2 years now and our normal cycle is around 2 years..."

 

Almost like he was trying to tell me to hold off on buying the current MB when it comes back in stock... Kinda telling since they have been out of stock that long with a club. Obviously do what you want with it and this is just speculation. Just passing on the words i was told.

 

... I love it when OEM's do that. When I tried to order the original Ping LS the Mgr at PGA SS told me Ping charges them $10 on all orders. I had a $100 credit and wanted to go thru the SS so I checked at Dicks and they did not have that shipping charge. I called Ping to find out and:

 

Rep: I cannot comment on charges from individual stores or Pings shipping policy with those stores.

Me: Dicks said there was no charge for shipping so can I assume the charge is not coming from Ping?

Rep: Again, I cannot comment on store or Ping shipping policy but it sounds like you have done your homework and already have an answer.

Me: LOL thanks.

Rep: Happy to help.

Interesting that there has been no new info, or news on the 2018/19 CB/MBs but this random UK website is selling them... Does anyone know if these are legit?

 

The image does look different to the current model, it has a tungsten weight in the middle of the sole (like Fowler's), and the description has 'Cobra Connect' Tour Velvet grips which are not a standard model on offer at the moment.

I find it very disappointing that Cobra holds back with Information.

 

This Thread is nearly a year old, and still no correct Infos on a new Set.

I would imagine they will be announcing new equipment soon since they already put price drops out on the F8 line, I'm anxious to see whats next for them. Curious if they will stick with the milled face on the Driver and whatnot.

The word is $-Taper black stock shaft but, Ctaper and Ctaper Lite are offered in matte black finish as well. I can't speak if they will be the stock option.

Well my order is in and these dogs aren’t cheap! I was really hoping the limited edition black C Taper Lites would be a stock option but no dice. Had to do it anyway! I went with a full set of CB’s. This will be my first set of steel shafts in quite some time so I’m gonna try Prosoft inserts see if they help. Selling my Ping i210’s/Aerotech fc110 combo, As much as I like the Pings I’m just not a fan of the Hydroturd finish. YMMV

The hydro turd finish comes off easily to reveal beautiful and indestructible SS Ping heads. That’s going to be an expensive swap. But I bet the CBs will look awesome.

I got the limited edition matte black C Taper Lites. They aren’t PVD they are coated with Cerakote and I’ve owned many. That’s not by coincidence.

Thanks! And you are correct PVD is NOT a durable finish. Listen, nobody is questioning Pings performance it’s outstanding. I’m a Ping fanboy...BB
