My first Eagle today

Yup, 1st hole, drive down the middle about 240y, 115 to the pin, dropped in.

 

77 overall, which is my second best ever.

Congrats on the eagle! What a way to make your first one by making it on a par 4 from 115 out! I would wager that most first eagles are on par 5's. I know mine was.

I’ve had two eagles both on par 5s...have yet to hole out on an approach shot. Still waiting on that hole in one...

Nice! I’m even more impressed that you were able to keep the round going with the 77. I would have shot 38 on the front and 51 on the back after that opening eagle.

Nice! I've made a lot of eagles over the years, but not too many on a par 4. Those are the ones you'll remember. Oh, and any on par 3s of course. :)

Played with a few guys the other day. On a par 5 the one guy had 2 career shots and a putt for a 3. He was excited about the eagle. Didn't have the heart to tell him that he played from the tee box which changed the hole to a par 4 for him.

 

I'm still pitching a shutout on the eagle front this year.

The first 3 eagles I made were on par 4's (all 1 putt eagles).

 

Very odd given I generally hit the ball far enough to give myself the option to go for it on most par 5's and some are even mid irons into them.
