So I made a few goodwill stops today and need some advise, I found a full set 3-PW of Left Handed Taylor made T200 irons.They are the standard 1.99 a club so for the set it would be 16 bucks for the set, only comps I found were a set that sold on ebay in August for $123 I did not buy them as I am not sure how hard it is to move LH clubs, should I go back and grab them?

^Depending on their condition, I'd buy them, clean 'em up and list 'em on ebay for $125 BIN free shipping. It might take a while but maybe you'll sell them and make a $70-ish profit.

I had a really nice day picking today, I had about a 4 hour drive from Chicago to Michigan and I picked out some goodwills along the way to stop at. My first stop was at a GW in a really nice town and hit the jackpot with these three putters in one store all $1.99. I grabbed them right away after my last experience and gripped them tightly, See post #1654 for reference. The Ping had some mud on it but will clean up well and the odyssey is in great shape as well. I was not sure on the Dead Center and seeing some sold prices on Ebay I will not lose money but it is a dud. I also picked up a dozen New Wilson DT Balls, good set of chipping practice balls. The other 3 GW's along the route were all busts but oh well.

Ran into a goodwill today and did not see much, but found this Fat Lady Swings putter by Bobby Grace. I love mallets and this thing felt really balanced in the store and I thought this could be worth a few practice putts.I got in the car and find out it is a limited run Nick Price special edition and are bringing in $100 bucks on Ebay. Looks like I will be flipping it and putting the funds in the Betti Fund.

I was going to post this in the thrift store jackpot thread but I don't think that'll be appropriate so here goes!

 

Not a thrift or goodwill store by the local golf course had a pile of unclaimed used clubs and snagged a few for $0:

 

A US Kids putter! My 9 year old has been begging for a putter to go w/ her iron that she's been practicing on. This will help bridge the time between now and Christmas :)

 

 

 

 

 

Another putter to play around with.... Not the best of conditions cosmetically but works great! Free is free.

 

 

 

 

 

Finally, this sand wedge. I couldn't find anything specific about it but it's a "Medallion". The only thing that came up is a Hogan but logo doesn't match and there are no other markings. Pretty new Golf Pride grip though so it hasn't been lost for too long. Anyone have any thoughts on what this is?

 

 

 

That's it for today. There were about 20 other sticks but didn't have time to rummage through them all!

You should go back and pick up that Ben Hogan SI wedge! I have the same club but in BeCu...it is MONEY out of the bunkers! It's been in my bag for almost thrity years...have never had the desire to replace it...it's that good IMO!

The Callaways are in good shape but label listing the flex is gone. Does show they're True Temper and do feel stiff.

 

Is this kind of swing trainer helpful?

I think that’s just a weighted club. Okay for warming us with or making swings indoors. Other than that, not really any use as a swing trainer.

Yeah the GW here in Central Oregon definitely has a "higher" than normal pricing scale compared to the rest of those in the this thread -- I think the guy in the back receiving bay is a golfer LOL -- but yes this was in the regular bin as there is only one bin here for golf clubs (they just do the weekly sticker color 50% off discount)

I can’t speak for the poster but I’ve occasionally picked up $2 irons at thrift stores and flipped them for $25 to $35 on the Bay. Single irons can sell quickly at times to someone trying to fill out a set. If they don’t sell, the risk is minimal financially.
