What are some legendary head/shaft combinations?

Any titleist driver with the YS-6+. Awesome in the 905 series. And the 910D3 w/ YS-6+ I am using now is, by far, the most confidence inspiring driver I have ever played. Waiting for a good price on a 917D3 head. EDIT: Finally found a 917D3 head for a great price. Didn't even bother with a shaft. I'll just move the YS-6+ over from my 910.

 

I had a 983k with a Prolaunch Blue that changed the way I think about driving in general (I learned that, with the right driver, I could actually control the ball and play for position off the tee).

It was a classic, had a few 905Rs.

 

983k with the Grafalloy Prolite got a lot of play from me. Also the R510 TP with the Speeder. Or the J33r 460 with a Grafalloy Blue. All fun drivers when I had the swing speed.

TM R5 with Graf blue stiff.

TM r7 super quad with GD Quattro tech 65s which is in my bag right now. Not quite as long as newer drivers but way more consistent and controllable.

I think it was the BLUE shaft as I have that in a 905R and it changed the way I thought of a driver too..!

 

Edit: Still have it too as I can seem to let it go.... using an SZ with Tour AD DI now

Being an oddball, he always liked Precision Rifle fcm in 5 or 5.5 flighted with a cb head like just about any Titleist cb or older stuff like TM 300 Series, Macgregor pcb Tours, Mizuno mp32/67. Those shafts feel great to Jack Pearsall and they are all but practically extinct.

- CTaper 130s w/ Cobra MBs, straight in - never get tired of this combo;

- RAM Tour Grind FX Nickels w/ Satin PX 6.5s - butter;

- OG Vokey 200 series w/ Rifle 7.0 Spinners, also butter...

Could go on but I won't. Oh wait, MacGregor Nicklaus JN106 w/ that whippy stock shaft!

And I had a 975J (I think?) with the part metal, part Graphite bimatrix shaft. 🤣

I guess since nobody had mentioned it and I haven't seen any such shaft since, they must have been a dud.
