Ari we have similar taste Just picked up that 3 wood as well. I think you will like it. It’s not quite a KP99 though ?

I resist putting one of my KP99s back in my bag daily..... :)

Was going through my collection. This has to be the crown jewel of my persimmon collection. Yes it's real and authentic and made for TW.

Very nice. Do you know who made it? In fact, more to the point, did he ever play persimmon after turning pro (or even as a top amateur in college)? He certainly wasn't using a persimmon driver when he won his first Masters back in...errrr...1997? 98?

Was it built as a sort of commemorative club, rather than for actual use?

Yes Mike Just who used to own Louisville Golf (RIP) made it for him. He never used persimmon in competition but used to play a good percentage of his practice rounds with persimmon which he said helped him hone his ball striking. I don't know if he still does this.

More changes to come soon......

Picked up a Rogue 3w but don't like the face height.

Have a few Kascos to try (Thank you ZH).......

Have a XR Steelhead 3w on the way to try. Like the deeper face.

Reshafting irons and hybrid w KBS Graphite. 85 in the hybrid 100 in the irons.

Most exciting to me I went down to Artisan Golf and John Hatfield fit me for a putter. Incredible experience. He gets so detailed about the whole entire putter built not just the head. Love the inclusion of balance point in the fitting. Should have the putter in about 4 weeks and am super excited.

Oh and I have a sweet new Tour Dept Bettinardi being made......

Yup complete Scott special. I sent him the tartan fabric originally just for the liner but then he did his thing. It came out better than I ever could have imagined.

How is that G400 Max compared to the old DBD? Is it as straight as the smaller headed or mini drivers you had in play?

I find the max to be extremely forgiving and straight. I don't like the way it looks but performance just cannot be ignored. It's as straight as any driver I have used. I even think there is a good chance I'll use it in 2019.

That is good to hear. I'll have to try it out. I've all but given up on 460cc drivers as I just can't seem to be very accurate with them. I've had tremendous success with mini drivers and strong 3 woods and don't give up much distance. I would like to put a driver back in the bag someday but I dropped the ego long ago.

Damn that first putter is mean!

I'm with you -- to my eye, no contest between that Artisan putter and the Swag putter. Ari, which one is finding the hole?

I just got them both yesterday and won't get to play until I get to Scotland next week.

I am super excited about the Artisan I went to Ft Worth and worked w John on a fitting the whole experience was awesome. He goes super in depth and looks at things that others do not. I've been through more putter fittings than I can count over the years but it had been about 3 years and some things about my setup and stroke had changed. We really dialed in my specs and I'm super confident with the setup. Love the finish I'm really a sucker for a good patina.

The SWAG also really fits my eye well and has basically the same setup. I really like what he did with the shape of that thing.

They are both gorgeous. I would go for the finish and milling of the first one in the shape of the second. Something about those wide blades with a little cutout in the back. They seem easy for me to aim.

I agree they are very easy to aim. I find the same thing with the fanged mallet as long as there are not a bunch of distracting lines etc on top. I could easily game either of these putters long term.
