The new Titleist TS2 & TS3 fairway woods

It's a shame they don't have the Tensei Pro Blue in an 80G offering as a custom shaft.

 

They do, it's just an upcharge. Same thing with the TX flex diamana's and some others.

I was skeptical about the 16.5 that the fitter was trying to put me into, but couldn’t ignore the numbers. Guess I’m at the age where I need help with launch to get the carry I need. Look great and sound great, too. Hard to pony up $300 for a club I hit twice per round at most but tempted to upgrade the 917.

Cant go wrong with the 917 it’s the best 16.5 4 wood I’ve ever used by far.

Yes, but the old weights will still work also

What about the TS2 3 woods. Is the standard weight still 14 grams?

I hit both yesterday and didn’t care for ts3 fairway wood. The ts2 seemed much more forgiving. It did set up closed so I flatten the lie angle and delofted it. Not sure on shafts though. Didn’t like the 1100 and the smoke just okay. Did happen to hit the tensei blue but it was too soft. I want to hit this in x flex.

I couldn’t find a swing speed chart for tensei though. I was swinging 3 wood 102 mph.

If you liked the 917 F3 (as I did).......you will LOVE everything about the TS3 15 degree fairway wood!!

I was around that for 3w and the tensei 65 x was beautiful in the TS2 13.5

I hit the TS2 16.5 today with my shaft and loved it. Solid!!

Just got my TS2 15 degree Tensei 65. First range session and am thrilled with the club. Over the years I’ve had the 909, 913 and 917 f2 heads and this one feels better than them all. Easy to hit off a tee and deck. Was fit at a Titleist Thursday a couple weeks ago. Difference between the TS2 and TS3 during fitting for me was the the TS2 went higher and drew (if that’s a word:))TS3 went lower and faded. I like to hit draws so went with the TS2.

Hit these recently and ordered up a 21 degree with tensei pro white 70 in it. The ts2 sat up great in higher lofts.

I ended up with a 15* TS3 set up with a Mitsubishi Diamana Ltd S+ Blue 70 (X-Stiff). Interestingly enough I ended up getting fitted into the Smoke on my TS2 driver. My TS3 15* with this shaft combo has a really nice penetrating flight - I do agree with you on the note around forgiveness...my combo rewards a good swing (gotta work on that!).

Anybody know the head size (cc) for the ts3 5 wood (18 degrees)? Isn’t rule of thumb just subtract 20cc from the stated 3 wood head size?

Yes i felt the TS2 sat closed too and ended up getting a 18 a delofting it too. I was going to get the 16.5 but like how the 18 degree sat more the the shape.

3 Weeks ago I picked up a 15 deg. TS3 with Tensai shaft. Its really great off the Tee. I've played 4 quality rounds with it, very happy.. I had a older Titleist 13 deg that was in my bag like 11 years, it was time..
