We have had countless issues at work between medical stuff and turnover this year, been short staffed since end of July. Due to this, I was unable to use my vacation how I really wanted to this year, but just found a neat little "bonus" to it.

I just went in to Workday this morning to get my time down to 1 week of carryover, and am off 35 of the last 60 days this year, the will use the week of carryover for Palm Dessert trip Feb 9-16.

ah, some rest......

Crazy.... I have 207 hours of PTO left to use by 1/1 and am still accruing yet I can only roll over 80. I always end up losing some time.

I used all of mine, but it all got used on wedding planning and honeymoon days. Added to busy weekends, I've probably played the least amount of golf this year since I graduated college a decade ago.

Next year will feel like a vacation, even if I don't take time off!

That’s awesome! Enjoy the well deserved time off! I have around 300 sick hours accrued, I don’t think I have ever called in sick or left early for illness at this job. These accrue indefinitely so if I ever need fmla I should be good.

I only have a few pto days and no personal days left, our son just turned 2 and this year has been a blast with him. We took vacation and lots of days off to just play,go to the zoo, take a day trip, etc. I’ve burned almost all of my pto and have played 2 rounds of golf since September 2017. Been the best year of my life.

Nice. Starting on Oct 18 until new year, I’m spending all but a couple of weeks offshore. I would LOVE to be able to burn through vacation hours and relax.

I’ve never regretted one single day of hookie with my boy. In fact I should have taken more and plan to do so .... I’ll blink again and he’ll be off to college.

Absolutely right. Both of my boys are men now, both off to college by a few years. Some days it is hard to believe, and all of the rest of the days it is just fun to be proud of their accomplishments. And incredibly fun to be on the course with them!!! Got to play 18 with them this holiday weekend and wouldn’t trade it!
