Props to Cobra on the new Forged Tec Black!

So after my poor experience with the purchase and process and service, I also have to give Cobra props for their technology and development with the 2018 products.

I just got my 3 driving iron and my 5-PW Forged Tec Black Irons and the wedges.

The King Utility is ridiculously hot! Stock recoil and I am absolutely just piping it off the deck and tee, one of the best looking easiest to hit clubs I've ever seen and just launches missiles, do yourself a favor and try one!!

The irons look so good from last years forged tec, better topline and profile and they are super long, feel great and workable.

Nice work Cobra!

I'm still not happy about the order process, but man I am happy with the results!

I got the one length utility 2 / 3 Iron. This thing is pretty quickly become my favorite Club ever. Super easy to hit off the fairway or the tee.

what happened with the order process? First time on the internet? jk

He might be referring to the 2 month back order that to took place soon after

the initial release. I blame the Wrx'er thread that compared the Forged Tech Black vs.

TM P790, that the overwhelming majority of respondents preferred the Cobras..

My King Black wedges only took 10 days , waited the full 2 months for the irons.

They were worth the wait , they're as good, maybe even better , than my Adams

XTD Forged , another Wrxer favorite, with little general public recognition.

Edit: forgot to add, that it was during this back order that Cobra tried to

piece together sets to accommodate those that couldn't wait in line like every

one else. Results were partial or out of spec sets being sent out.

Got fit at Club Champion, Forged Tec Blacks gave me the best results and felt awesome. Ordered through the website 4-PW and upgraded Project X shafts with notice that the 4i is on back order. Called in after a couple days to check the status and the Cobra rep said he would ship out the 5-PW overnight and would send the 4i when it comes in. Got the irons and played a round the next day. Best irons I have ever hit and the black finish are the best looking things out there now. I was so impressed with the set, I ordered the GW as soon as I got home to fill the rest of my set. Still waiting on the 4i, but I might order the wedges. Cobra hit a grand slam with the Forged Tec Blacks!!!

I had to jump back on here for anyone looking you have got to try these irons! The last couple of months have been nothing short of amazing these irons have to be some of the best that I've played, top 3 hands down.

After getting used to the irons I can now say they literally do everything and kind of tick all the boxes for looks, feel, distance, and consistency and workability

I’ve had them in the bag since early April. They are fantastic. Modus 105x in mine and they throw darts. The black finish is bulletproof, unlike the black plating/ finish on the cally apex black or taylormade irons. Mine still look fantastic after a season of use.

Its same head as silver with different face, badge and insert....everything else remained same as far as I can find.....although black will make a head look smaller and topline thinner.....

I had the silver ones these are definitely thinner with a better head shape...could be the black but also look smaller an thinner topline, and they are softer and I can literally do anything with these irons, never played better...

I agree! I have the kbs $taper in mine i am hitting shots so much closer working the ball and hitting shots i never have before, my proximity to the hole has been cut in half

Well, after the i500's and then grabbing the deal on PXG's I'm still searching for a great iron for me and my swing. I did a little reading and I wasnt sure if these are hollow body FACE forged or is this a true forged club? For some reason I just dont hit the hollow body clubs very well, as in they are short, way shorter than non hollow clubs. I dont swing real fast but I'm still an aggressive swinger, haha. I LOVE black irons so I'm very intrigued by these.

You can't go wrong, these are as soft as anything I've hit, perfect blend of feel. The PXG's weren't that good? I almost tried some too...

I was very underwhelmed on the course with them. Feels is great but everything else was average at best. Felt like a nutted it but came up a whole club short. I dunno but I’ve had them on the range a couple times but on course they did not wow me.

I ordered a set of Forged Tec black built to my custom specs on line on Saturday. They arrived perfectly built to spec on Tuesday (yesterday) directly from Cobra. Granted I live in the same town as Cobra but given the fact that the order was not started until Monday the turnaround time was fantastic. Heading off to a golf vacation and can't wait to put them in play.

I really love the look, stunning clubs, tried the one length 7 and just not forgiving enough for me, I’ll stick with the f7 one length.

Got the black sw though, going to replace the s400 with the dynamiic onyx 105 in regular which will fit me better and go with the f7 shaft weight.

Looks like Cobra is starting to up the quality of their clubs. Keep it up. Callaway, Taylormade and Cobra always had a cheap feel compared to Mizuno, srixon, Ping and even Wilson. My F7 are little cheesy but they work.

Looking forward to F9 speed backs.
