Long story short I need a new 3 wood. Something that I can hit off the deck w max carry. The course I play most has long par 5s and I need something to get me as far down the fairway as possible on my second shot. I am not a high ball hitter but I can spin it alot sometimes. I also tend to miss left so nothing that hooks. Looking for suggestions......

Ping Anser 3W. Low spin bomber that puts the ball in the air. The matte black head is a nice touch, and the head shape is rather shallow so you can use it on a wide range of lies; it’s great to use beyond the tee box.

Since I don't know your swing much....and going just by ballspeeds... I've tested just about every new 3wood in the last 3-4 years... and for pure ball speeds......
edit: ballspeeds validated on my GC2/HMT.

    Taylormade M2 3HL - which is 16.5 degrees.

Several studies have shown that most players (less Tour Professionals and High-Swing-Speed players) actually carry the ball further with more loft.

I'm a 3 hcap here in England, and actually gained carry from the deck with the M2 3HL, Tour AD-DI shaft.

2016 M2 Deep Face. If you want more carry you should probably look at the 16.5° head. They are stupidly long

I game a Callaway xr16. I'm not sure what its mechanically meant to do, and I've never hit it on a launch monitor, but on the course I hit high long bombs with it. I have no problem hitting it into greens because I can get it so high in the air.

    Try the following:

Taylor Made M2 original version
Taylor Made Aero Burner (shaft needs to be spec'd as the stock was a whip or grab the TP version with the Matrix S shaft)
Callaway Rogue
Mizuno ST180

These clubs were in my bag several times but they worked out to be too long in my gapping scheme...so much so, when I was in-between drivers, I actually only bagged one of the above instead of a driver for several weeks of playing.

Taylormade M2 2016 or M4. Choose the shallow head, 15 degree. That will be the longest fairway off the deck you've ever hit.

I hit my Rogue SZ 15* off the deck longer than any 3w I have ever played, longer than my Epic SZ 13.5.

I will eventually get a 13.5 Rogue SZ to try, may eliminate the need for driver.

Loft for loft the 16m2 or yard birds aeroburner have produced the best baLl speeds. I love the 16m2 3hl tour deep face the sole is very flat and easy to elevate and ridiculously long.

For me, around 100-105 driver swing speed, nothing was really close to the M4. It out performs my OG RBZ by 10-15 Yds carry and easier to hit off the deck.

Well Fred, the proper 3w for you depends on several things: What is your CHS? Are you comfortable playing a FW off the deck at your home course? Where do you play most? Do you like your FWs on the heavy or light side? Do you prefer an open, square or closed look at address? What distance do you hit your driver and what loft is it?
Awaiting your answers....
TM M2 Tour was pretty stupid long. Actually got rid of mine because I was hitting it further than my driver off the tee.

The TS2 13.5 is pretty solid too. Easy to launch off the deck and is plenty forgiving as well.

Sounds very similar to me. I spin a ton and do not want to miss left. I was trying everything this year to replace my M2 2016. I just haven't been getting along as of late.

Got a few different options, g400 (stretch and 14.5), rogue, F7, and a few others. Bought a Tour Edge CBX on a whim trying to get something long from the tee. I got a 13.5 and I was blown away. No lefts, spin stays down, and I actually launch it easier than the M2 in a 16.5. It takes off of the face like a rocket and is almost as long as my driver. I liked it so much I bought another head for shaft testing. Really great shape too.

Never really got into the TEE stuff, just not really much around me to test. This one got my attention and it is really a solid club. I will be testing a few shafts then unloading the second head. I would say take a look at least. It was definitely longer than anything else for me. And know that it's really easy to launch, so don't let the 13.5* scare you
