We're pleased to have been selected by Wilson Golf! There will be multiple weight and profile options available with the new driver.

I hope that they get it right this time with the head and the performance. It won't be the shafts if it doesn't succeed.

Both finalists look to be pretty decent clubs and Wilson has selected another top-of-the-line shaft to pair with. Nice work. Will be interesting to see how well it performs and sells.

Christ, some of these responses.

Seriously!? This is an awesome shaft that comes in enough profiles that it should fit just about everyone.

Here's to hoping Wilson can put out a driver that tempts me to bag it. My FG V4 irons have been godsends.

at $499 it may sit for awhile.

I hope they sell at a market buster price <$300, that’s really the only way they can gain ground on the big boys of the metal wood game, IMHO.

There is really no profit for anyone at $300

Yet, we’re seeing TEE do exactly that while challenging the market.

By anyone I meant Wilson and their distributors. Maybe Tour Edge can do that, but I don't think Wilson can.

This is going to sound like I'm a crazy jerk but if given one week I could revolutionize their product lines, price points and presence in the market.

I 100% believe they are making some incredible strides but the overall plan is a bit off.

So Wilson Staff can DM me and i'll give then a brief glimpse into the past, present and future .

It's a shaft that's already on the market and anyone can pick one up today. There is nothing special about this. This thread is nothing but an ad for Wilson. Are they paying to be a sponsor here?

It's absolutely a "BLAH" shaft choice...

My guess is that Fuji gave them a killer deal to get rid of some overstock inventory. They tried to position the Atmos line as a premium shaft offering and they failed... the "buzz" fizzled after about 2 weeks and it gets very little noticeable play on tour. It's ended up as nothing more than a stock shaft offering from OEM's - merely an afterthought. There's more guys on tour playing a Fuji Pro or a Speeder than the Atmos line.

Considering that the Rogue 125 in the Triton was probably the hottest shaft in the history of the PGA Tour, I would have expected Wilson to offer something like the Tensei Pro line or Handcrafted PX Black, Blue, and T1000. They aren't going to sell many of these, especially at $500, unless they come with a $300 shaft at no upcharge.

Do they handroll the Atmos line like they showed on DVD2?

No not even a little bit. The ATMOS line is mass produced and uses the lowest and cheapest ton (40t) graphite material of any of the Fujikura line. Most of the higher end shafts use 50t or higher with 90t being used in the highest lines.

I have no proof but I'm convinced the Atmos line is just repainted Motore VC shafts or some other previous product. Let's be honest, how would any consumer know? Anyone can make up specs on a web site and nothing about a graphite shaft looks different except for the way its painted.

Atmos was over priced for what it was and as others have said it looks to be a deal that Fujikura worked with Wilson to clear inventory.

We're pleased to have been selected by Wilson Golf! There will be multiple weight and profile options available with the new driver.

So, if this shaft and the Cobra stock offerings are the same shaft, then why is the Cobra version black? In that thread, it was mentioned that you guys were switching to a black color way in this line. Is that not the case? Not trying to come off as rude, just a genuine question.
