Cameron trisole Newport circle t-real or fake?

Very nice old school tour Cameron NP2 trisole! Not sure if it was mentioned, but my guess is that it is carbon steel(?)

 

Love the topline which was very rare on that era putter. IMO, it is possible the face has been lightly remilled. Most likely by the custom shop.

Carbon steel pro platinum. Does look restored as there are no mill marks on the neck or the cavity.

If any work was done to the sole it was done by someone who knew what they were doing....It looks great

Definitely Pro Platinum and the mushrooming on the face stamps are all but gone.

Pro Platinum is a fancy name for chrome plating over carbon. This model came after those which were more of the Dot putters. This one is Stainless or SSS and I’d bet unrestored. No use in a COA as it is a real old school Tri Sole. Nice!

stick a magnet on this, and I doubt it sticks on this one. But ya never know. OP if you can do that, that'd be great. Would be even better if this was carbon.

face milling also doesn't have the resto look either

That’s my plan. Unfortunately the golf shops in my area won’t touch it because they are afraid they’ll break the neck. So, I’ll probably send it in to the custom shop. Get the new limited head cover, a new grip and get ready for next year.

Are you going to leave the finish as is then too? Do they check the head weight while it's there too?

Do you have a scale by any chance? Would love to know if it actually weighs 340g. If you get a COA, I would think that they would weigh it to make sure it matches the stamped weight, but you never know. When you fill in your order form, make sure you put in the notes that you want a CT shaftband. I sent in a Tour stick once to have a topline added, new paint, new shaft, grip and headcover and it came back with a Custom Shop sticker on the shaft. :(
