Can’t chime in on longevity, but I’ve played about 6 rounds in them (morning dew, afternoon, bunkers, rough, the whole course) and I didn’t have any grass stains. They stayed a lot cleaner than I thought they would to be honest. However, unrelated to golf, I wore them to a bar after the round and someone ended up dropping a beer and I think 90% of it went on the Knits. Threw them in the washing machine when I got home (take the soles out) and they cleaned up beautifully. Air dried and were basically dry the next morning (minus the leather pull tab on the back). Long story short, even if you do get mud or grass stains on them they clean up easily.

@Austincountyag I love my knits (have two pair), but they are nasty on my heel. I really wanted to wear these without socks, or with really low socks, but the rub a blister on my heel within 4 or 5 holes (walking of course). I have make sure I wear socks and that the stocks stay up above the back of the shoe. As long as I have socks on, it's no big deal.

I actually had my dress socks on from work so I can't comment on how they go with low or no socks. I kept them on and walked around the house for a bit doing misc things.. I can say that I did not feel any rubbing or pressure along my heels, though.

I started wearing the Knits with no socks and haven’t had a problem with any rubbing.

so I got my pair in and I have to say they are very good looking. They are casual, yet also have a more timeless look. I like them a lot compared to the more sporty looking shoes out their right now. As far as fit they fit true to size in regards to my Nike and UA athletic shoes. With socks the true knits are very comfortable. Without socks they are wearable, but if you're planning on walking a round I would wear socks just for the added comfort. Overall they are very breathable and will make for an excellent shoe in the Texas heat on the course. However, they won't become my full time weekend shoe or anything like that.

side note: I bought these mainly for a vacation the wife and I have coming up in a couple months. I plan on playing golf one day, but I didn't want to pack a pair of shoes for simply just that. These knits will be perfect for me to take so that I can wear them to dinner, casually during the day and also on the course.

Mine arrived about 45 min ago. I wear a 13 in almost every shoe I own except some boots (12s).

My running shoes are Altra's so I was really looking forward to the fit of the True's. I bought a pair of the Originals and a pair of Knits.

* The Originals are close to expected - not as wide as an Altra in the toebox, and wider in the midfoot. I can cinch the laces appropriately though. They aren't too wide. Wish to forefoot was wider and midfoot a bit narrower.

* The Knits are...weird. I completely understand where people are coming from when they say they aren't sure they can golf in them. The knit material does nothing for the shoe at all and it feels like your foot would be moving around all over the place. Not only that, but these are definitely wider in the midfoot and narrower in the forefoot than the Originals. I'm actually not sure how anyone's foot fits in these things. I can get the upper to completely close with the laces but they are still sagging on my foot. And my outer toes are at the very edges of the last. I'll be sending these ones back.

For reference, these are the shoes I own and have no issues with whatsoever in size 13:

Altra Escalante

Nano 8 (knit and originals)

Reebok JJ 2s

Vans

Nano 2

2 pairs of Go Golf Elite 2 (narrow in the forefoot)

Nike FI Premiere

Ecco Hybrid Biom (original)

I love these shoes. Got them for Christmas last year and have worn them at least once a week since then. I wear them to the office and then right to the golf course. They are so light, that my feet feel much better after a round versus my Nike spiked shoes that are heavier. I too have washed them in the washing machine and they washed up great. These will be my go-to golf shoes for the near future. Love them.
