Congrats to Danny, my half-countryman, but the bloke needs to use some consonants when he gives interviews. I heard something about hard work and tough, but when asked to go through the last few holes the only words I heard were "flag", "positition" and "callaway". And we scandinavians are supposed to be decent in english... What did he say?

 

To be fair, he was mighty choked up. I’m impressed he just managed to get some noises through.

Good for Willett. People here were ragging on him when he was injured and trying to come back. It appears he's back - crow for brunch across the golf world.

Woke up in the middle of the night and as a result caught his first 10 holes - he looked solid, but I fell back asleep.

 

Glad to see Stenson playing okay - elbow treatment apparently successful.

If someone told me a year ago that the Tour Championship winners of the PGA Tour and the European Tour would be Tiger Woods and Danny Willett, I would not have believed them.

 

Congratulations and welcome back to the big time Danny Willett and I hope he has a good 2019.

Danny Willet played terrific today, some of the irons he hit were just stellar. Pleased for him and for English golf, its been a excellent season for all.

The back 9 was the best ball striking I've seen for a while, probably since Molinari (Open) or Tiger (Tour Championship) levels of good.

 

In isolation, you can't beat someone hitting the ball like that.

Thats because he was pretty choked up. Nice to see him win again, I am sure he has questioned his future quite often in the last few years...

Bit late to the party but I remember so many e-goons ripping on Danny for the longest time. The in your face wins this season have been just lovely- Phil, TW, Danny to name a few.

think he was using his usual 2013 x forged long irons and MB mid and short irons. Titleist TMB 2 iron

Golf Digest had an article that mentioned that 11 different players ended win droughts of at least 1000 days this year on the PGA Tour. That doesn't even include Willett and Westwood over in Europe.
