I had a set of J40's done. I loved the look, but it was always difficult getting the weight back to the right spot. In mine I lost 6-10 grams. I didn't want to put lead tape on such beautiful clubs. I couldn't use tip weights heavy enough because I was using graphite shafts too. I actually put some lead powder in the cavities and then put a layer of epoxy over it to hold it in. That helped some, but in the end it was difficult.

Technically raw but recently black-ox'd

 

Not sure how recent that pick is but wait till you get a few dozen rounds in with those beauties. The way they age is really awesome.

 

They age beautifully. I've actually redone the black ox because I've completely removed all paintfill. Murdered Out.

 

I gamed my Yururi's for about 6 years. Got I don't know how many dozens of compliments on them and really loved the way they aged (never had mine redone but I did think about it).

 

In the quest to lower my handicap I moved on to a "more forgiving club". News flash - I still shoot the same scores.

In the hosel. You have to take the shaft off.

Yes, as stated, the weight port is in the hosel. Once you pull the shafts you can see a cylindrical space when you shine a light into the hosel. That's where the weights go. After mine were stripped I added 9 grams in each port. Worked out great.

The heads were bead blasted which removed the finish without harming the carbon steel. Maybe someone else can jump in but I’m pretty sure the finish on the jpx 900 tours isn’t chrome. Especially since the finish came right off and didn’t require any kind of chemical bath.

They are my all time favourites, along with some mint MP32s! But these just slightly pip it just because they are raw!!

Raw will rust , it's just carbon steel which will oxidize , but soaking the heads in white vinegar will take the rust off.

 

Most people who love raw equipment love the way the patina ages tho ?

well....not sure how bead blasting a cast club would hold up........(very little is forged).
