Piretti vs Toulon?

I have a toulon Columbus that is buttery soft, I purchased my first piretti, firenze, find it terribly firm and hate the feel, my question is Would be piretti blades be firm or more like the toulon ?

From my experience, piretti is just a firmer feel overall. I owned a CWII and a Bosa. I own a Toulon Madison, Indy, and Atlanta and they're all much softer feeling than the piretti putters I owned (hence why I sold them). Nothing wrong with Piretti but just felt very harsh and the higher pitched "ting" didn't feel right to me.

the Toulon sound on my Portland is hands down the nicest i have had. And like all of us, ive ho´d many flatsticks.

Maybe Toulon milled their face more aggressively? I mean it’s the same metal after all.

The Piretti is a firmer feel so it depends on the ball you use and personal preference. I play on really quick greens and love the firmer feel, too soft messes with my distance control

Would the blade pirettis feel any softer than the mallet? The firenze I have is almost unbearable feel wise

I owned 2 CW2s. I never liked the feel of either of them. I also owned a centre shafted Teramo and thought it felt softer overall. Neither were for me.

Anyone saying the Piretti putters feel bad , are not making center contact.

 

Either you are making contact on the upswing , low on the face...or...high on

the face by using a forward press / delofting the 2* face to negative loft.

 

I own numerous CW II , Potenza, Capri , and several mid mallet designs.

Carbon , 303 stainless , solid copper , and GSS. They all have a solid

soft feel. Depth of face milling has more influence on feel than design ,

or material they are made of . Some of my deep milled are almost too soft.

Feel is subjective partner. Nobody is saying Piretti feels bad, just different.

Thank you for your valued opinion. You seem to be some sort of Piretti advocate around here. Maybe a bit biased. It's entirely possible that what i feel is "not great" is the feel you desire.

 

Mine opinion is also valued.

 

The CW2 didn't feel good to me. I'm not the first or last person to say that.

thats just wrong. feel is subjective and if the "bad" or "not as nice as X" feel was due to bad contact then that same bad contact would show up on whatever other putter you tried.

The Piretti blade IMO will feel more firm where the larger models will feel and sound softer.

Looking into the elite matera after seeing Tony Finau use his for a while and really like the look of it. Wondering if anyone has/had one and can give me any opinions on it what you like or didnt etc would be my first piretti after playing scotty pretty exclusivley for a while

KRW59,I like all the negative comments. To me it means these unhappy Piretti owners will buy high and sell low! I have 7 Pirettis (2 Cortino 2's,2 Cottonwood II's,2 Potenza 2's and a Cortino LN) I love the sound and feel of all of them.Always looking for more!

My stainless 801r is extremely soft. It has the deep face milling and it's almost too soft for my liking..almost...lol. The ball comes off the blade soft and responsive. You won't find a better putter for the price 2nd hand. I say that because I wouldn't pay the $1500 price tag for my 801r new, but they can be had for half, sometimes even a third of that price on the bst or eBay.
