Tyrell and Poults are about to blow their tops. I gotta say it’s entertaining TV listening to Poulter.

Tyrell destroyed the tee marker earlier. Good stuff!

Then the bunker water relief situation.

Both times Poults then pulled off a great shot

^^ Yeah that was embarrassingly brattish behaviour from Hatton. They did well to just be +2 on the day, all over the place.

^^ Yes, he's played quite badly so far and he said after round 1 that Poulter carried him, not much different in round 2.

You could see it simmering. Swantek, "on the edge of being unhinged".

Par for the course for Hatton although I bet he wishes he had a few more pars out there today. I get that some people are fiery but Hatton is just a tool. He gave an interview in Golf World a few months ago and complained about not getting picked to represent England as an AM. Not surprised that the selectors didn't want to take someone along that they were continually have to apologise about given his behaviour.

I guess he didn't read the story about Kevin Stadler breaking his club on the tee and injuring a fan. This could have been much worse, with stuff flying everywhere. He's a great player but he really needs to control his temper a little better. Fines from the Euro Tour?....like he cares

Nothing flew everywhere and other than the marshal who was safe, there wasn't anybody around, lol. Not much of a tee marker.

He's apologized, the Tour took some action, everyone moving on.

Kind of a nothing.

The unusual thing about these types of events is that we get to see everyone play, not just the leaders who are at the top of their game that particular week. We're watching players who a hitting it great, and those who are really struggling. I can't remember the last time I saw so many tee shots so deep into the woods as in this tournament. The harsh weather is making it even worse than it normally would. It's nice once in a while to see that these guys are mortal like the rest of us....even the top players.

No the clubhead hit a spectator and required stitches.

One of the guys I grew up with is one of his best mates. Apparently he’s completely different off course and a really nice and generous guy.

I think he thrives on the fire (like Reed) and has acknowledged in the past that he knows he doesn’t behave well, but it’s how he gets motivated.

Not saying his behaviour is right, but we all know people who have tantrums on course, but would never do anything like that off it!

It's 9am in Melbourne and it's wet. No wind, though. Yet. I am just five or so miles from The Metropolitan but not sure whether I could be bothered going. Would like to see Mikko x2 play but not sure of this weather.

For the uninitiated, here's a rough guide to interpreting weather forecasts in Melbourne.

Fine: Expect skin cancer inducing sun but the wind will blow you all the way to Canberra.

Mostly fine: Expect one or two small openings in the otherwise full cloud coverage. Wind as in "fine".

Showers: Expect it to pour down all day. Wind as in "fine".

Late showers: With luck, there may be a small break in the rain in the morning. Wind as in "fine".

Few showers: You might see another small break in the rain. Wind as in "fine".

Light winds: Wind as in "fine".

Windy: Bring out the scuba diving gear. You will need that lead belt.

Wind easing up: By late evening, you may start making your way back from Canberra.

As a little anecdote, earlier this week there was more snow in the state of Victoria than there was in Finland. Not very common in late November. Pretty cruel scores out there on Friday.

I'm really liking these Australians who are calling the World Cup....funny couple of blokes. They don't pull many punches and they deliver with humor....it's actually entertaining. Or, it could be that I'm just amused watching golf in Prime Time, who doesn't love that? Maybe I'm just in a better mood at this time of day? They seem to be working together with Swantek by wire. Makes some of our productions sound really stupid....IMO. Australians seem to know how to have fun...
