that would be nice. I emailed all my golf buddies but none are interested.

They are unaware of how much fun we actually have.

I don't know what number we are up to, but maybe getting close? I saw a couple people mention on Monte's multi-purpose thread with clinic info that they'd sent in a deposit for Denver?

I told my brother (who is 15) that if the stories start getting too good, we will send him into the clubhouse. image/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

If anyone has to drop out, and if my work travel schedule allows, I might be interested in taking your place.

I'm almost certain it's not capped at 8, so I would go ahead and sign up. It's fully refundable if the date selected doesn't work out.

Cap at 15. Need at least 8 to make it viable for me to get it going.

    Hi Monte,

What is your preferred cut-off date for deposit refund? Twice I have had my work tell me to fly out with less than a week's notice.

    Thanks.

Has anyone attended one of his previous clinics? What is your opinion on them? Did you you make long lasting changes? What was the best part?

I know Monte is a world class instructor and knows the golf swing. I just curious about the group clinic vs private lessons.

I’ve attended the last two years and just registered the other day for the 2019 clinic that was just announced.

I’ve taken lessons when I was younger with pros at the local muni. I have learned more from Monte about the golf swing and what my intentions should be in the last two years than I had in my entire life.

Regarding the clinic vs private lessons. I love the clinic format and think the clinics fit well with Monte’s teaching style. There’s plenty of one on one time, so you’ll get individual attention on your own swing faults. But there’s a lot of value in hearing advice given to other people, and questions others bring up. It’s also just a lot of fun to meet other local folks.

The best thing I’ve learned in the past couple of years is really disabusing myself of some horrible misunderstandings of what “should” be happening in the golf swing. I really understand know what I am trying to accomplish and can self diagnose what I’m feeling and doing. I’m no longer confused at “why did the ball go that way?”

Regarding “lasting” changes, before meeting Monte i was around a 17-18 hcp. I finished last year at 13. I feel like I’m right on the precipice I’d making another big move. I’ve really been hitting the ball better this year, and improved fairways and greens hit. I have a lot of work to do to get my putting in better shape and need to get rid of stupid big numbers. A great round for me is 80-81, and a typical round is 84-87. I’m always good for 3-4 three putts a round and one or two 7-8’s on the scorecard that just blow up a round.

Hopefully this helps you... maybe we’ll see you in May!

Thank you for the response. I’m hoping to register. Just have to make sure the wife thinks it’s as great of an idea as I do. It’s the weekend of our anniversary 😂
