Tacomaworld will be the death of you. lol You will drop some serious dough! Tacomaworld is one of the best forum's out there.

Tell me about it. TRD Pro grill and hidden 2 row light bar behind the lower bumper grill get mounted next week. Not doing any suspension mods though while it will see a lot of dirt the off road trim is more than sufficient. The lights i actually kinda need i spend a fair amount of time pre sunrise on FS roads to trailheads the stock ones are not gonna cut it for me to avoid animals and the possible illegal immigrant out there.

No suspension mods. lol You can tell yourself that.

Baja Designs are the way to go if you have the cash!

Went with the Cali raised hidden lower bumper 32 inch combo beam. https://caliraisedled.com/collections/2016-toyota-tacoma/products/2016-toyota-tacoma-32-light-bar-lower-bumper-brackets

Gets mounted Friday with the trd pro grill

Considering a set of rigid sae compliant fog replacements if the bar isn't enough but that's down the road a few months.

Well Tacoma's are not that big in the pickup world. The reason I need it is most of the places I need to get to for my backcountry hiking and backpacking you are not able to get to with a sedan. Last thing this truck will be is a pavement princess. We have roughly 40 million acres of federal land in the state(not including tribal land) the vast majority of that is open to the public via national forests etc. Throw in state trust land and something like 70% of the state is public access. Were a large wide open state 114,000,000 Square miles compared to a country like Scotland which is 31,000,000 square miles. There are a lot of undeveloped wide open areas here to explore.

I had a similar though in mind when I clicked on this thread.

My clubs are 3 years old and my car is 5 years old, both are paid off. My kids are 11 and 13 years old, both far from paid off.

You can fit 2 sets of clubs in a 911 easily. It's part of what makes the 911 such a great sports car for the road and for daily use. The front seats pop forward (think of how front seats work in a coupe and how they flip forward to get in the back seat) and the back seats flip down (most owners just leave the back seats flipped down because you can't fit a full sized human back there) and you can sit the clubs on top of the back seats between the rear window and the back seats. On the 997 Targa (which is what this picture is of) the back window actually opens like a hatchback so it makes it even easier to stow clubs.

I have a 2014 Cayman S and even in that smaller, mid engine, no back seat, Porsche, I can fit 2 small stand bags in the back hatch. 1 set fits with absolutely no issue, 2 is a little bit more of a challenge. I typically use a Mackenzie bag so that makes it even easier.

How do you like the new Tiguan? I have a '14 Touareg which I love and I'm bummed they stopped bringing it to the US. The Atlas is way too big for what I need (no kids) but I like having an SUV around for travel and as a daily vehicle. The smaller motor on the Tiguan concerns me. How does it drive? Does it have enough power for the size of it?

I love it! I’m bummed too about the Touareg and agree the Atlas is much too big. Did you see the new 2019 Touaregs overseas?? They look awesome.

I don’t necessarily feel like the Tiguan is “underpowered”, but I wouldn’t mind a little bit more zip. It honestly feels like a Golf. It doesn’t feel too heavy and is a super comfortable ride. It also depends on the type of driver you are... I’m more of a laid back driver.

Eh when I’m in the Touareg I’m a pretty laid back driver. However, I would probably be annoyed when driving to places like flagstaff and Sedona from Phoenix (which we do fairly often). The drive from Phoenix to Flag is like a 6000 ft elevation change in the span of 60 miles. It’s straight uphill the whole way. But either way I’m not really looking to change now. I would sign up for a 2019 Touareg just because it looks awesome hahaha

I did see VW is configuring a US factory for a ‘5 seat mid sized atlas’ so there’s some smoke that they may bring the Touareg back stateside or may have a smaller variant of the Atlas.

We got upgraded to a VW Atlas rental in Hawaii this summer, nice ride comfortable, decent power, surprisingly easy to drive around even in Waikiki the one night we went down there. It was much easier to drive and park than the land yacht Dodge Challenger we had on Maui. That thing even felt bigger to drive and harder to park than my Tacoma. I wanted to say the Atlas was a 5 seater but the rental agency may have just put the 3rd row down so we could fit the golf travel bags.
