If you were to be completely honest though; would Fujikura's Director of Sales tell me that this line has been overwhelmingly successful from an aftermarket sales perspective? It feels to me like Fuji wants the public to believe these shafts are as relevant as the Rogue line from a couple years ago or the Tensei Pro line more recently... I'm just not seeing it.

Now, if you'd like to send me a couple shafts to put through extended testing, I'd be more than happy to give them a fair shot and provide an honest review. I'm never to proud to admit when I've been wrong about someone or something.

I do appreciate your participation in these discussions!

Yes they would tell you that, more than you can imagine. ATMOS is our #1 selling product over $200 MSRP and accounts for 31% of all of OUR shafts in play on PGA Tour, more than speeder. Also I see you're pretty devoted to Rogue, that product line is more than a "couple" years old. We've done quite a few promos and giveaways for ATMOS the past 2 seasons, hopefully you signed up on those. We'll keep doing some for some newer products in the coming months, stay tuned.

Are the Atmos and Speeder lines completely different profiles? Would one be considered higher quality construction more than the other?

Yes different profiles. Speeder Evo series has some combinations of materials in their designs which separates the price points by $100.

My benchmark shaft is the 70+ gram Diamana WB/D+ LTD.

I have a Rogue Silver 70 and it launches higher with more spin. I like it, but it feels a little "looser" than the WB profile.

I have hit the ATMOS Black 7 and Speeder VC 7.2 TS. Comparing the two, the ATMOS launches a hair higher for me, spin is close enough to be negligible, and feels a little livelier. Both are lower launching and spinning than the WB. I am not high speed player, but I like stout shafts. Calling the ATMOS a "blah" or "meh" shaft is crazy. It is very likely my new benchmark shaft.

Taylormade Sim2 10.5° (turned down to 9°) - Tensei White 60 stiff

Ping G400 3 and 5 Woods - Diamana D+ Limited 70 stiff

I feel this head needs a counterbalanced shaft to really shine. I am not saying the atmos is a bad shaft, because it is not. I just don’t think it matches well with this head. The swing weight is just too heavy.

Many on this board are always screaming about how modern drivers are too long. And how they like to play their drivers at 44.5" or less. Well, here's their chance to play a driver at that length without having to resort to lots of lead tape or extra weights. If this driver is really that head heavy just reduce the length by 1/2-1". Problem solved.

Exactly what I was thinking. Every 2 days a new “what length is your driver?” Thread pops up and the norm seems to be around 44.25-44.75.

A 205-207g Head should be perfect for a shorter length.

This driver is already shorter than what is standard these days at 45”. I still think it is heavy and counterbalancing it will make it more playable.

yes.Ping is the only other manufacture that has a 205g plus head weight. the most common weight is 198g with adapter. I weighed my Z785 Srixon head when I first got it and it was 193g without the adapter installed.

May be the reason they have the length at 45â€. The Fujikura’s might be too whippy if it were any longer, and swing weight would be affected.

The latest Callaways are in the high 180’s I think. Curious to see what their new Flash weighs in at?

That’s a good thing. Shocked Wilson is smart enough to make a head with some heft. 197g driver heads are a joke.this alone just talked me into trying one. If it sounds good. Hmmmm

Most King LTD heads are in this range also. Funny how this went from an Fuji Atmos thread to a Wilson Cortex thread.
