I'm not questioning Tiger's short game overall. Because gosh knows it's way better than mine.

 

But I don't understand why he took that stab motion approach on the one that rolled into the water.

 

I felt that way before he even hit it. I know it may have something to do with the grass type, but it was a nice lie. Just play it in the back of your stance and take your normal pitch motion. No need for the stab that doesn't carry the ball far enough.

Don't we already know the answer to that question. He's not afraid of work. It's a habit for him. He'd probably feel weird not working his butt off. He wouldn't have come back if he didn't still have a strong desire to work and work his way to winning. He has something to prove to all those who said he couldn't.
