Swing help with vid(hopefully)

The worst 9.6 hcp, I’m very inconsistent ball striker and struggle with irons the most. I definitely suffer from heel shots and rhythm of swing. Hope the vids go through I had issues posting

Forgot to add when I’m playing well my swing is a draw, I have trouble hitting a fade. When it’s off I’m inconsistent, misses range from fat, thin, SHANKS. But the feeling I get whether I’m on or not is in my backswing if that makes sense

Thank you, I go through some crazy phases. 2018 I played 41 rounds my hcp carried over ranged between 9.3-9.8. I also kept track of hcp on new courses played n I was 12.4.

I know everyone says they want to be more consistent but the feelings I get is my plane is so different between rounds my striking is wild. Sometimes I will hit a bunch of greens then I’ll l go through a phase where I’ll hit 2-3 greens. My scores range from high 70s to low 90s. Low round 77, high round 95 with my largest amount being 81-86

I’m really looking to get a simple swing, but not sure if that is possible.

Disclaimer... I'm definitely not a Pro!

Besides the fact that your action is very over/ under & inside, I think there are good things in your swing. Posture could be better, bit more bend from hips. Your draws come from the inside attack but can lead to heel/shanks

My heel strikes come mostly from standing too close, but that doesn't appear on first look to be the case with you.

Just my view but.... people on here typically say '' I'm off 7.2, I shoot low 80's and this is my swing(vid attached)! "

OK fair enough, it's good fun to yak about swings but how do you chip & pitch? What is your ratio of up & downs? How often do you 3 putt?

How come noone ever says" here's a video of my basic pitch shot, I sometimes chunk it, can you help please? "

My swing is poor and I can only hit my driver 220 and a 7i 128, but my handicap is 6.8. But I hit the ball straight and on my day my short game is say 3 handicap. My point is there's so much more to it than swing. And if there's one thing I could go back in time and tell myself 25 years ago it's "if you can mostly hit the ball straight, stop worrying about your swing so much and just work your a** off to be really good from 70 yards & in!"

And I'll say again, I think your swing is generally ok and good enough to be off 5. Maybe get a tweek here and there eg posture. It's the 'other stuff' that counts.

im pretty good at keeping stats and what i find out is how all over the place i am. i have had rounds where my short game(chipping) is on and i am getting a lot of 1-putts but that is mostly cause they are kick-ins. but during those rounds my scores arent much different due to either the driver being off or the irons. i am also a very streaky putter, i went through stretches were i had little to no 3 putts then i would have several rounds in a row with numerous 3 putts each round. with most of my game being and stats showing how streaky and inconsistent i am, but a few things did show i have consistency in certain areas:

1) my best rounds scoring wise came when im hitting fairways or driving the ball well. if im struggling off the tee there is a good chance i will struggle for that round.

2) irons are all over the place, which shows i have an inconsistent plane, low point or something. and my misses aren't the same either

3) struggle with 100 yds and in, more so in that 50yd-90yds inconsistent ballflight and distance control. stats show me better when im pretty close to the green or outside of 100 yds

im gonna work on the game hard this winter, just deciding on online lessons or in-person, still havent decided yet

Need to see a down the line view but it appears you have a major chicken wing with your right elbow which leads to a big re-route on the way down.

There's lots of good things going on but I would practice hitting 3/4 shots trying to keep a towel in place under your armpits to get better connection / quieten that chicken wing and to try to steepen your shoulder turn plane a little by thinking about turning your left shoulder down towards the ball on the backswing and then firing your right shoulder down towards the ball on the way down.
