It's actually not a bad idea. A forum with a handicap range could be useful for those handicap ranges. OP rather than focus in on better players (I'm scratch) you should give consideration to how your proposal could be beneficial for all handicap ranges.

 

The idea is good, it is just presented a bit too bourgeois.

 

I have another idea...how about pinned threads for "best driver", "best 3wood", "best hybrid", and whatever iron questions always have new threads. A new thread on any of the pinned club topics gets a 3 day no posting ban...

I am all for it but only if us golfers who suck can pay to see whats posted there. Of course we can't post our drivel but we surely could benefit from the inspired words of the pro's. I personally would pay any fee just to catch a glimpse into the world of legends.
