^^ I see that on europeantour.com but surely its a mistake. It's likely a two tee start setup and it hasn't been added to the site correctly so it looks like 6 where I think its actually 3 are off 1 tee and the other 3 are off 10 tee.

For some reason they are playing in groups of six. Does anybody know the reason for that, the weather?

Randpark has 2 golf courses (Bushwillow & Firethorn). They are using both for the first 2 rounds.

So they will play as 3balls, at the same tee time but on the different course (hope that mad sense).

Love both coursers - Firethorn is probably the tougher of the 2, but Bushwillow is also a test. I will try go on Sat & Sunday. It's been blazing hot though lately.

Oh I forgot that. I guess they did the same last year, if I now remember correctly.

Top 3 finishers not already qualified in the top 10 will earn a spot in the 2019 British Open at Royal Portrush.

Only Oosthuizen, Wallace, Els, Papadatos, Norris and Stone are currently in the field.

Like the Australian Open, this is the designated big event for the Sunshine Tour. Despite the SoF of just 81, the tournament winner gets 32 OWGR points.

Nice for Louis to win his home Open.

Such an odd player. Swings it so nice, looks like he does everything well and a record of one major and second place finishes in all of the other majors should signal a Hall of Fame potential career but beyond The Open win which amazingly is 8 years ago now, there are no wins on his resume that makes you sit up and take notice.

Louis is an easy guy to like and root for. Whenever you see him swing he looks like he should be leading every event he's in. This win obviously meant a lot to him.

Louis will move up to #25 in the world.

Someone was talking about his lack of strong wins, this is (in OWGR points terms) the fifth biggest win of his career. Other than his British Open, the other big wins were two Volvo Champions (a T of C for Europe played in South Africa) and the Malaysian Open.

Charl Schwartzel, Romain Langasque and Oliver Wilson are now qualified for the British Open.

Brendan Grace had a high enough finish to almost assure him finishing the year in the Top 50. That would qualify him for the 2019 Masters.

For some reason to me it appears golf is not Oosthuizen's main priority in life.

But he is awfully good at it.

I think Pete Cowen said in an interview that golf always comes third for Louis.

1. His family

2. His farm

3. Golf

Good on him, I wish winning his home Open meant as much to Jason Day.

I always think its gotta be more difficult as the years roll by (kids get to high school age) to live in the US, when the pull of home is strong.

Geoff Ogilvy at 41 (another 1 major guy) is packing up and coming home.

This was Louis first appearance at the South African Open since 2010.
