I’d put more faith in picking up Ridley as a fill in this week. More experience runner in a must win spot for Steelers.

The matchup makes it tough.... Seattle's D is one of the best against tight ends. Kittle had 6 catches for 70 last game against them, which is decent, but now they have more game tape of Mullens to go over and are riding high off of that Vikings domination. The Steelers are one of the worst against tight ends and going against the Pats who will be mad. I would go Gronk here.

TY is a definite start for the other spot.

Limped into my fantasy playoffs with a busted team. Tons of injuries so tons of crap options as 3rd and 4th stringers. I'm the paralysis by analysis guy and can't make up my mind on several.

1. Njoku @ DEN or Ian Thomas vs NO.....Njoku has the better matchup with DEN doing bad against TE (like the 200+ yards they gave Kittle in the first half) but Njoku has mostly been a disappointment since picking him up as a backup. Thomas has put together a couple decent games (11 targets last week) in a game that CAR should be playing from well behind and throwing the ball. Njoku is supposed to be the clear play, but I kind of like Thomas's target numbers.

2. Calvin Ridley vs Fitzgerald (playing against each other in ATL). Every week I have a crapshoot choice between the two when they're always projected similar and Fitz usually puts up modestly better numbers but both bad lately. I think Ridley has a slight edge in this one, but it's a toss up.

3. My RB2 slot.....I've got Conner (who may or may not play), Breida (who may or may not play), Ekeler is out, and my only other RB is Jets Elijah McGuire and even he's nursing an ankle. Conner is vs NE, Breida vs SEA, McGuire vs HOU. Do I basically start them in this order based on who actually plays or is there the obvious concern that nursing an injury there will be a larger timeshare for Conner with Samuels helping out? I don't love Breida vs SEA but he's played pretty well this year despite being dinged. McGuire is going to get a good workload, so may have the best chance out of the three. Right now, I've got McGuire in my lineup since the others are still up in the air, but trying to talk myself into whether I need to switch out accordingly. With PIT needing to right the ship, I could see Conner playing at less than 100% and with the timeshare makes me nervous that he'd be a bust.

I'm probably going Thomas who I just picked up at TE. Cam likes to throw to tight ends. I think he gets more targets than Njoku.

Feels like Ridley has more upside but Fitz will see more targets.

Yeah you're in trouble at RB. Just got to watch injury reports like a hawk. Sucks that Jets play on Saturday

So... Here's my decision I need help with.

Rivers vs KC or Cam vs New Orleans?

I've been riding Cam most of the season but man, I can see a big shootout against KC

Tough decision but I think I would go Cam here. Both teams are banged up and playing on short rest and sometimes these Thursday games can be duds. I also expect it to have a playoff atmosphere since there is so much on the line. Oh and the forecast is calling for some wind and rain.

I expect the New Orleans offense to get back on track and Carolina will have to try to keep pace. N.O. run defense has been pretty good so I see lots of passes to McCaffrey and that makes for easy points for Cam. The only real negative here is Cam's shoulder issue.

Granted this is the worst Chiefs defense over the span, but.....

Oh man, that's scary. I have him starting now but might pull him

Also going to be ~upper 20's wind chill, 14mph wind, and small chance for rain (mostly during the day, should probably be cleared out by game, but who knows).

Everyone's expecting a shootout but with the weather playing some factor, this may be a battle of third string RBs (not knowing what Gordon's going to do). I assume Gordon will at least try, but would suspect a short leash if he isn't feeling good.

And......"Kansas City’s colossal home-field advantage has stayed intact this year, holding opponents to 18.7 points per game at the Chiefs’ house versus a 33.7-point average on the road."

Ha Im playing against him this week so Im rooting against him...the person Im playing also has Gordon and Beckham starting and both are pretty questionable although I think OBJ will go

Chargers activated a RB off their practice squad so not looking promising for Gordon. Could be precautionary, but it doesn't make a lot of sense for them to risk re-injuring him for the playoffs just to win a game that has less impact.

aren't they vying for a division title and possible first round bye on the line as well; slim chance but it's there

lots of smoke and mirrors going on. it's the NFL.

Technically, yes. My thought was that they're going to make the playoffs regardless. They can take it easy and be healthy for it or they can be aggressive hoping to get the bye (which is partially out of their control since they can win, but if KC wins the final two, they don't get it anyway). By being aggressive they risk Gordon having a setback and thus hurting their overall playoff chances. I realize they aren't going to just give up, but with the odds stacked against you, do you really want to roll the dice on Gordon's health?

a home field advantage at home throughout the playoffs is on the line with pats loss last week's in miami. I definitely see where you're coming from; with Cooper Kupp coming back way too early(same injury) and eventually tearing his ACL.

but all these "moves" feels a bit like smoke and mirrors. I hope melvin doesn't play since i have williams as my backup as well. but who knows.

Let's be real, there's no such thing as "home field advantage" for the Chargers though. lol
