Those welds are hideous. Looks like BAD did them himself.

 

The welds look fine, they've just been ground down and the back of the club wasn't cleaned up. Personally I would have knocked off the weld spatter and left the beads (if the welder can "stack some dimes"), but I bet the grinding also allowed them to move swingweight back down after the work was finished.

 

I will say I have considered doing something similar to my irons since I like heavier swing weights and play them shorter. Props to him for doing it.
