So I was given my staff head yesterday and wow that baby is loud! Comparing my numbers from my rogue subzero to this I am seeing 3 degrees more launch on average with the same shaft and hosel adjustments.

higher launch not what I want to hear....

Maybe it has something to do with more weight being in the rear of the club. Did you have the heavyweight forward in the Rogue?

I had the 12g in the back. Just comparing flightscope numbers after 30 shots I went from 13 launch to 16 average.

What about the spin numbers, launch is ok if the spin numbers are good? When you say it was loud, annoying loud ?

It is a completely different feel and sounding driver than the Rogue in a good way. I will try and post my numbers tonight with side by side comparison. We are slammed today on our sim so it wont be for a few hours.

Pictures look good so far. Green & Yellow aren't the best 2 colors to mesh together, but who cares? It's on the bottom of the club. I'm wondering how it will feel compared to the Epic SZ, which I really like.

Put the Wilson Cortex next to this new epic flash and people won't be complaining about the $499 price tag of the Wilson. The original epic Sub zero was fire, this is a turd. Won't be trading my epic in any time soon. All clubs are exactly the same performance wise now just look and sound different. Stop thinking yellow paint and a sliding weight are going to stop you from taking a divot with your driver and increase your carry by 30 yards.

Not even close to true. Rogue has inclreased ball speed on off center hits compared to your epic. Fact. Not opinion. I tested both on track man for 2 days when I was fit for my rogue. I’ve hit the flash and it’s faster farther out still. Wait till you see how the face of this driver works and is designed from the back.

This is my exact finding too blade. Lst only thing as good off center but rogue sub fit my game style better

Spin under control with the higher launch ?

It certainly appears so, at first glance. Granted, this is with practice tee balls, no warm up, and on a 45° day, but the flight launched higher than the Rogue SZ and flattened out at the apex just the same.

Listen, the Rogue SZ has been my favorite driver ever. I am almost 1 full stoke better with the Rogue SZ than my previous driver, which was my favorite ever before the Rogue. To that point:

2017 SG w/Driver (random clubs throughout the year): -2.12 SG/Round

2018 SG w/M1 430 (Jan - Sept): -1.13 SG/Round

2018 SG w/Rogue SZ: -0.38 SG/Round

So, my M1 was 1 full stroke better than whatever I was fooling around with in 2017. The Rogue SZ was .8 strokes/round better than the M1. The Epic Flash, admittedly after only 20 shots on the PF, has the opportunity to be even better. The sliding weight and the Flash Face are both VERY welcome additions. (a quick edit, this is club vs. club, NOT all tee shots vs. all tee shots, so it is a very fair comparison)

Full disclosure, I also adopted the DECADE driving strategies, using what Scott Fawcett has put out for free and the cones and Google Earth strategies that have been discussed on GolfWRX. The combination of these strategies with the Callaway products are the reason that I have improved by almost 2 FULL!!! shots off the tee in just the last ~12 months.

If you are genuine and realistic about improving your scores, do yourself a favor: Get fit (for a driver especially!) and look into DECADE!

Def like seeing the face tech even though I have NO idea what it does or how it works. Haha

I hope we can’t see the flash face logo at address. Probably won’t be able to with the lower loft heads but I would bet it’s noticable on the 10.5 and up lofted heads.

maybe I am the idiot in the room, but can someone explain what is going on here?

Is this a new thing behind the driver face? I thought I read TM doing this also, or something similar....

It looks like the wavy pattern that was referenced in previous posts. Sounds like some sort of goo will be used as well? I don't know if the TM drivers will have a wavy pattern like this, or if it's just speed foam being used.
