Can anyone confirm this is a Dale head? The bumpers are sloped and 85029 in the cavity

OP...judging by the pictures and information in the linked thread above I do not believe the putter in question is a Dalehead.

These are Daleheads...I also have 2 of them in LH LOL

 

The one above is a Scottsdale remake but not at the same time PING had remakes in BeNi, BeCu, MnBr as the markings in the cavities just said PING in the trio.

This is a Dalehead with a rocker sole. The LH Daleheads that leftyDH04 posted are flat sole versions.

This is called a Scottsdale Remake.

 

This is not a Scottsdale remake. The attached picture is one of a Scottsdale Anser reissue (1995) and with a rocker sole version.

Interesting. The sole in the cavity does look a bit thicker and there appears to be a bit more rocker. I was on the fence with the bumper flow. When I bought mine, I'd pore over pictures to make sure I wasn't getting the squared off bumpers. Here's a good example of a restored version with the squared bumpers.

The putter in the first post looks vintage and seems to be some early runs when HQ moved to Phoenix 85029.

 

Still rare and with all the magic despite not a Scottsdale zip.

The square blocky heel-toe is not of much value unless it is an ~50 years old vintage with a long step shaft.

I can appreciate people believing the squared bumpers of this putter. Keep in mind that the putter in this picture is a flat sole Anser. It's a common mistake. The rocker sole seems to be less common but many were made. I would even venture to bet these were slightly heavier than the flat soled Anser.

 

The 1995 commemorative Anser reproduction had both sole versions made.

Seems to be quite normal for folks to post a question and disappear... odd as that may be.

 

If you ever come back OP, it appears we have solved the mystery or rather RobotDoctor did. It's a Dalehead with a rocker sole. A good Dalehead thread is always fun.

Here's the same putter on eBay for $125 - but no one seems to want it. It is in worse shape.

I'd guess 50 to 100 bucks. But, ultimately it's worth whatever someone will pay for it.

 

There's a set of 3 including this one that the bidding starts at 75, but no one has bid. It's has 4 or 5 more days left, so perhaps the bidding will get going closer to the auction's end.

I think if you stick to your guns and start really looking on eBay you could find one in much better shape for 100.

 

Depends I guess if you're a stickler about not getting a remake. I'm not the best resource though, as I'm a lefty, and they're cheaper for us. I guess they made a lot more proportionately to the market.
