What is the most "tour issue" club of all time?

Recommended Posts

I think it has to be the (360cc) TaylorMade 300 Tour Driver because certainly....

No other club has EVER earned a name like this one:

'THE HOLY GRAIL'

This is also the club that started the whole movement (on BSG) toward's Tour-issued equipment!

There was nothing else that even came close to it during it's time!

:golfer:

I have one.....8.5*. I'd sell it cheap.

Let me know.....Erik

Play PIRETTI putters!!!

915D5 and 907d4 have to be in the talk. Most have never seen one in person.

Try finding a sldr mini in 10 degree loft. They were hens teeth when they came out. I owned 2. Hot as hades and faces didn’t last long. Not seen one for sale in 2 years.

I really liked those old Cleveland BeNi wedges, the ones with clean, unstamped backs (not the TA-797 ones). They just say "BeNi" on the back, not sure what was different about these from the others but I had two when I was younger, super soft.

Isn’t copper Cu?

Beryllium is Be.

As someone with almost the exact same setup, out of curiosity what did the hotmelt do for you and where did you place it?

Correct, I think he might be confused with the fact that there has also been BeCu clubs made as well, which would be a Beryllium/Copper alloy. Nickel is soft so I figured that was a big component of it but I don't know what the Beryllium does for the equation.

RBZ Tour 4 Wood 17.52181212_231422

I forgot about that one. I have one. Used to be the only FW wood I carried for one season. I recently came across it but I forgot about it being a tour only club. TM sent it to me directly. Dustin was the one who most prominently played that instead of a 3 wd.

I should have cleaned it. I let a visiting friend use it a couple of months ago :swoon:

In the bag: Playing --- TaylorMade  Qi 10 (core) driver w/Fujikura Ventus Blue 6S. 3wd TM (OG) SIM (special smaller tour only head, same that TW was playing prior to the '24 Genesis approx 160cc) @ 15.*) with Fujikura Ventus 7-S.  5 wd TM SIM w/Fujikura Speeder 857TR-S (Japan made)

HyBrids-Cleveland Hi-Bore #1 (16* plays like 2-Iron) W/Fuji-S Tipped 1/2".  SIM Max #4 (set @ 21.5* w/ Fuji Atmos HB8 9S.  IRONS:  TM M3 4i (2*weak)w SteelFiber i95-S,  P790 3, 5-PW,  w/Fuji Pro 95i-S. SW TM MG4  54*/11 bent to 53*/10 w/ Precision Rifle 6.0-S. LW TaylorMade Hi Toe 3, 58/10 w/Modus Tour 105 Stiff. Putter-- BOBBY GRACE Night&Day-Custom, "M.Coz-Bandsaw Prototype". Ball 2022 TaylorMade Tour Response
Alternating clubs: the 5wd, TM Hybrid Stealth 2+ #2, 3Iron, depending on what part of the country, course, climate, and conditions.

Titleist- 915 d5 or 907d4 and 983b, 970 fairway. I forgot the other fairway dl3 played for a while f2 or f3-05?

Taylormade- r500, 282,r11sv3,r11 dot,16 df fairway, rbz double stamp fairways

Nike- 380 dymo would imo be their holy grail, rorys 2 dot no ailgnment aid covert, 425 dymo, quad keel fairways.

This sounds like the most confusing play in the history of football.

I'd say Titleist 970 series is the most notorious. I'd also say if it made it to a retail model, it wasn't "tour" enough.

Most tour issued ho's around the forum will know what all these plays equate to. I still have many of them in my basement.
