Bridgestone Tour B. Which one are low caps using?

I usually use Pro V1x but received a dozen Bridgestone Tour RXS (comp 64) and liked them. I think I'm getting the same distance off the tee with the V1x's but irons were longer so it took a few rounds to get used to. So I thought I would experiment and I picked up a box of Tour BX (comp 85) to try, but thinking I should try the Tour BXS (comp 75). My ss is only 90-95 so just wondering what others were using and thoughts?: Thanks

I dont play bridgestone, but i have seen great reviews on the RXS....if cant decide, play the AVX, its an awesome ball

I'm betting you might like the XS more than the X. If you're happy with the stopping power of the RXS off the irons and around the greens, it's a great ball. I hit some of my longest drives with that ball. The XS will lower ball flight a bit but give you a bit more bite. The X has less spin so most likely good for those with a higher swing speed looking to lower launch and spin. Just my thoughts. :-)

I agree with the XS recommendation. For me, it was the better ball all around.

Considering there are different reasons why caps are what they are it will vary based more on ball speed, distance and stopping power

If you like the RXS, give the B330S a shot. I switched from the 330S to the XS and never got along with the new version. Seemed shorter for me everywhere but especially off the tee. Switched back to the 330S mid summer and everything went back to where it had been in terms of driver distance. I also find the 330S wedge spin a little more controllable than the XS.

I wanted to give the AVX a shot, but I'm planning on buying my years supply and they aren't on sale.

Thx for all the info guys! I think I'll try the BXS next weekend. I assumed as you get older and your swing speed slows down its better to go to a lower compression? Right?

Most of the higher speed guys who liked the b330s don't really get along with the tourB XS as it is even softer and spins a bit more. For lower speed you should look at the TourB RX and RXS models.

Meh. I never really bought the swing speed recommendations. I swing 95-100 and the 330S is one of the longest balls I’ve played.

XS for me at the moment.

In my area nobody stocks Bridgestone. Online only. Bought a sleeve of the XS and it is a fine ball. Tried to get this over to my playing partners but they are TM and V1 fan boys and will not try any other ball.

Ok I tried the 2 balls today and the BX definitely makes a clickier sound? also with the short irons the BX was too long for me. The RXS was slightly longer with the driver. I was able to hit more consistent yardages & shots with the RXS. The harder BX was kind of throwing my yardages off.

So for my slow swing speed I think the RXS is the better match.

Just an fyi, i used the Tour BX again and with the short irons and wedges it was going 10-15 yds farther per club! If you want to hit long and far these are the balls!

The Tour BX is my choice from them. I put in line with the others i play (ZXV, AVX, PROV1, Chrome Soft). It’s a great ball but i have a tough time discerning one from the other in this group.

I play the XS, speed is 105-110. I could probably use the X and the lower spin, but I really like the control of it around the green. I think with a SS below 100 I would recommend one of the RX models. I've tried a couple and I can't tell a big difference between the RX and the X, so I don't think you're losing anything by using it.

Me too. I played Nike for a long time, and when they stopped making clubs and balls I had to find a new ball. Tried Titleist and Bridgestone mainly, some Callaway. I think the Bridgestone felt the softest so that's why I liked it the most. Didn't see a big performance difference between any of them.

Just out of curiosity, what is your swing speed? Did you try the RXS? I'm assuming the RX went further with the driver?

I play the XS. Not saying I am a low handicapper by any means, but it is the best all around ball I have played. I have found it to be longer than the Pro V1, a little softer, and more control around the greens.

 

It also has the wind cheating design of prior bridgestones. Definitely give them a try
