No difference in length or consistentcy noticed between wooden, epoch, zero friction or brush tees for me. I do like using brush tees on the range though for conveneance. Don't have to keep putting another tee in the ground and can tee one up withough bending over by using my foot and clubhead together. I kept breaking the heads off the epoch and zero friction tees too. Not sure they are made for higher ss.

With all the various tees available, brush tees, stingers, prong zero friction, etc., has anyone found an appreciable difference with any of them? :)

I have used the epoch and zero friction for around a year. I like both but the zero friction is much more durable and does not break very often. I have only broke 3 zero frictions in the 6 months of use. Epoch tees will break almost every time you use them in cold weather and in the warmer season the prong will break. I have sold a whole lot more brush tees but have not used them very much. It really amounts to personal preference on these tees.

I recently switched to the Stinger 4'inch tee - WOW!!!! I never imagined a tee could do so much for my ball flight.

I have had trouble for years trying to get the proper trajectory on a Driver - I play 9.5'degrees loft at the moment. I have tried higer lofted clubs - but they always have closed faces and I get the snap hooks. I have tried many different shafts designed to increase trajectory - but still could not get the proper trajectory for a 115 swing speed. I have tried many different combination on launch monitors - all #'s show appropiate spin numbers with lack of trajectory. I have a "diggers" swing (very steep) so I hit my irons far (de-loft them) and with lots of spin, this type of swing does however not translate well into a solid driver swing - hence my constant struggle to get the ball in the air.

The Stinger 4'inch tee (which is rediculously high i know) launched the ball on a perfect trajectory which drastically increased my carry yardage by at leased 10-15 yards.

So far I have played 3 rounds with same tee. Better yet, I feel like Moe Norman every time i hit a driver because the tee doesn't move, like Moe says "I'm not in the business of breakin' tees".

I was just really amazed of what a difference a tee or tee height could do for me game. :)

I've tried several "alternative" tees, but only found one that I thought was worth the price.

I discount the claims of added yardage, etc.; but in terms of durability ... Zero Friction tees are great! I have broken just 3 or 4 in the last six months (usually after I've hit them for some time). They get a little bent but straighten easily. They are also biodegradable, which I find surprising (because they seem to be made of solid plastic) but nice.

Brush Tees are pretty cool, but I can't get over the size of them. Plus, when you lose one, it's a sizable loss (3 to a pack). For about the same price, you can get 50 Zero Frictions, which should last at least a year.

Stingers look cool and feel cool, but I get about one swing per Stinger. So for the cost, they aren't worth it for me.

I'll thow in those corn starch tees as well. I like them, but they don't last long. I use them at any course that gives them away. They're a good alternative to wood, and should do much less damage to mowers over the long run. So then the courses should lower their prices ... right? :)

Have only tried the Zero Friction & the Epoch - definitely agree with everyone else that the ZF are much more durable. The Epoch tees break and they were tough to get into the ground when it was cold. I doubt I will spend the $ on ZFs in the future if only because I have a more shallow swing plane and rarely break tees when using a driver.

Zero Frictions. I have yet to break one of these using a driver or 3 wood. I don't know nor care if they're longer, straighter, etc. They don't break and for $5 for 50 of them, are a better value than wooden tees, considering their durability.

I got some Epochs for free and didn't care for them. Broke very easily, -especially in sub-60º F temps.

ZF for me. like the rest I can not say I get any more distance but since Christmas I broke one and that was with a iron not a driver. I have not lost any and gave away a bunch. I also received a pack of epoch but I like the ZF so much i have not even opened the pack of epoch.

I figure I will stay with the ZF unless they stop making them.

The zero friction tees both plastic three prong and wood stinger version in the 4 inch version are used/endorsed by the LDA. I think that is as high a ss as it gets.

I use wooden step tees 3.125 " long. I use because I know they are going into the ground the same depth each time and I don't have to think about it.

BTW. I really like the Brush Tee and deep down think they are best all around but my playing partners laugh at me too much when I use them,so I gave up on them.

I know quite a few people, including my Dad, that absolutely swear by the brush tee's. I just can't get behind em because I dont like the height they give me. Especially with my irons on par 3's.

Personally, I carry 2 Tees in my pocket on the course; One long white wood, and one short corn starch for my iron shots. I like the corn tees simply because I tend to break tees when I hit my irons and since they are somewhat easier on the better for the mowers so I dont have to worry about finding the broken bits. They're also given away at a lot of courses, so I take a handful and stuff em in my bag.

:)
