Sad and stupid. I always enjoyed his designs, especially The Harvester in Iowa.

Man, what an idiot. Sounds like he was given ample opportunity to comply with the laws but chose to blatantly break them. The fact he imported illegal goods after the raid makes me think the man is a special kind of stupid.

I would not necessarily call him an idiot, but instead extremely arrogant and believing either laws did not apply to him or he was sly enough not to get caught. The statements he made to the undercover agent clearly show he knew what he was doing was not right, but felt he was the second coming of J. Peterman or something by bringing these items in to the country for his market.

That's nothing. My former boss was ousted from the firm in August 2014, under suspicion of embezzling some 26 million dollars!!. He wasn't arrested for this until February 2016. His federal trial wasn't until Sept/Oct 2018, where he was found guilty on all counts. He will finally be sentenced next month, I believe.
