Best wind ball

Did a search, but did not find.

What ball do you find to perform best in the wind. Primarily into the wind is my issue, less so than cross winds. Currently play Prov1. Seem to recall TM balls being good in wind, but have not played since Lethal. Help a Texas brother out, who is constantly playing in 15mph winds and having a tough time.

The Titleist AVX is very good in the wind. Less spin and a bit lower launch.

No such thing ( I played on golf courses all around El Paso TX for 10 years) , its all on how you strike the ball,,, old timer thought me that where your hands finish, is how your ball will fly,,,, worked for me, kept hands low on follow through,low ball flight, hands high,, yup, high flight,,,,,,, hit the driving range when the wind is up, more than likely it will be all to yourself.

Certainly being able to flight the ball down is a huge asset, but getting a ball that tends to flight lower with less spin can greatly aid that effort. It takes a great deal of skill to control the ball flight of a spinny, high launch ball. Not saying we shouldn't aspire to acquiring greater skill, but a little help never hurt.

AVX for me has performed well in windy conditions. I'm a ProV1 user and keep a sleeve of AVX's in the bag just for this very reason.

Callaway Hex pattern, I learned to play in Chicago and play in N TX now, tried them all. Granted I can flight the ball, but that dimple pattern when struck well (as most do) or nearly well works in the wind for me and many I have played with.

I played mostly played Stratas since my favorite golf ball at the time, Titleist tour 100 balatas, were good for maybe 2-3 holes on some of those courses I played. (White Sands Missle Range, Painted Dunes and Alamogordo’s Holf course) if you did not stay in the fairways,,, clubs were PING EYE2 steel,,,

Srixon Z-Star XV is very good in the wind, but I haven't found anything that beats the TP5x wind performance.

 

Edited to add: I played the prior model XV for a few months at the end of 2016. I tested the current model XV against the TP5 and TP5x when all were released in 2017, but the TP5x won out in the wind category.

AVX is a great wind ball, my AP2s will balloon with a Pro V, but not with the AVX. Love them.

I played a Vice Pro Plus for a while... Had no issues with wind.

TP5x for me, thing acts like wind doesn’t exist.
