It’s not necessarily that bc Tour Pro Steve plays a brand you will buy it. The player endorsement’s true value is the constant marketing of that brand on Saturday and Sundays from 2-6p and the highlight shows all week after.

It’s rarely a straight line; more of a constant drip to at least get you to “think” of their brand when it comes time to make a purchasing decision.

This. ^^^^^

How to play golf.
Hit the ball.
Find the ball
Repeat until the ball is in the hole.
Have fun.

Any final word on Sneds?

Bridgestone bag gone. Workday bag and hat. Same Bridgestone irons. I heard a Ping G400 driver. I can't imagine the Odyssey leaving the bag.

And Toulon putter!

Molinari? Isn't he a brand ambassador for Bettinardi?

He signed with them this past season.

Don't know how long contract is: https://www.pgatour.com/equipmentreport/2017/12/21/bettinardi-golf-signs-francesco-molinari-putter-deal.html

Guess the Betti deal is done now and he’s full bag Callaway and Odyssey Toulon. Golf ball is the wild card.

Wow - can't believe switching up the putter after the year he had. Thanks!

^^ Seems odd but having gotten some insight into Team Molinari's approach and analytics via Denis Pugh on Sky Sports I'm 100% convinced its all planned to the finest detail.

Molinari is proof that these guys value money over success and what "works".

Cannot believe he is switching anything after having the year he just had...

Can you blame him? This deal probably sets his family up for generations to come and it's not like he's going to an unproven company. He's going to Callaway, this isn't like going to Wilson woods and a Volvik ball.

I doubt Callaway is paying Molinari "generational" type money. If they didn't shell out for Rory last year, I sincerely doubt that they would back up the Brinks truck for Francesco.

It is guaranteed money whatever the dollar amount is. Molinari's stock will never be this high, he has to take the money if offered.

You can't blame the guy for taking the contract to play one of the top OEMs clubs.

This times a million. Continued success is never a guarantee. Guaranteed money is. I have no idea what he's getting paid to play, but I wouldn't be surprise if it's in the low seven figures range. Seeing as winning any professional tournament is extremely hard, how many tournaments would Francesco have to grind in just to win $1M? Looking back at his number over the past few years, 2018 was an anomaly where he made over $5M in PGA TOUR events. In 2017, he made $2.8M. For 2014-2016, he wasn't even in the top 100 on the PGA TOUR money list (couldn't immediately find the Euro Tour list so I'm leaving that out - feel free to look it up for me).

Will he find the new sticks hard to work with? Maybe, but I'd take the money and roll the dice too.

Here you go, prize money going back to 2013 for Frankie:

Year Rank Official Prize Money

2018 1 4,100,889

2017 9 2,037,703

2016 19 1,494,932

2015 32 1,051,251

2014 35 992,915

2013 13 1,367,566

I agree it makes sense to take the money now, the chances of him repeating this form over any other year in his career is unlikely. Might as well cash in while he can.

Edit: the table changed format when posting, hopefully it show correctly now.
