Curious what single clubs sell for in your area at your Goodwills.

Im out in Salem Oregon and singke irons go for usually $3.99. Doesnt matter if old or new.

Everything in the Charlotte, NC area is $1.99. Every once in a while they may have a newer metal wood or putter that will be priced higher.

Everything around here $2.99----- Bags are mostly $5.99 as a rule--- Sometimes they do a "lump deal" as I call it--- One time I bought a set of 925 Armours complete with a set of 1957 woods and a Hogan 8802 style putter in a older cheaper Macgregor bag for $10.99.

All Goodwill's in Louisville have published a standard price at $2.59 per club. Occasionally a manger will mark something up if he really thinks he has something special. But if there is no price tag it's $2.59.

Some are really close to or over the market value, and some starts at $2.99

Wednesday is the senior day for additional discount and most the days will have 20%-50$ off a designated daily deal on the color of the label.

One largest GW in the City of Seattle which usually over price their golf club...... I won't even bother to spend the cost of fuel to travel there.

I live in the South West Suburbs of Chicago. Stop by four local Goodwill stores. Irons and drivers at two of the stores are $1.99ea., the other two stores price them from 2.99ea-4.99. My best find so far was a Ping G5 hybrid and an Adams 3 wood for $1.99ea. I also found a barely used Taylor Made black cart bag with top cover for $5.98.

LOL lately around here one of the Goodwills was trying to pull off something. They had a couple of clubs they thought evidently were super special in with the section of "expensive " stuff. There was a Nike VRs driver with a Fujikura shaft and a TM r7 Quad with a stock regular TM shaft------- shocker marked $22.99 each> I chuckled and went on. 2 weeks later they showed up in the bins at work. Of course I bought them for .05 each scrap price. Now last week I did find a nice Burton old school mini staff bag real leather etc looked like it had never been used for 9.99 of course I snatched it up paid for it and ran to the van.

Man, STU, I need a driver score like that, in a bad way. My driving has been abysmal this season.

Honolulu:

Goodwill - bags are $25, woods are $9, and irons are $7.

Salvation Army - bags are $30, all other clubs are $7. Balls are darn cheap, though. $2 or less per sleeve.

Our Goodwill lacks any significant golf club offerings, on occasion they may have an old driver or fairway wood, if they do they are in the 3-4 dollar range.

Prices are up all over in the U.S. Goodwill now considers itself a "retailer" and are combing smaller stores into big huge stores. Prices are driven by the high prices crazy bidders on their auction site are paying--mostly for shipping. I got some bargains there when they first launched the site and no one knew they were there, but now, crazy. A set of AP1 710 irons recently went for $420--NOT including shipping. The closer you get to DC from Virginia, the higher the prices. Around here, they are .99-1.99, however they put all the good stuff on the auction site. I used to find Scott Cameron putters a few times a year and Eye 2 irons almost every month. I haven't bought a club at Goodwill in probably 2 years. I did find a G30 driver and 5-wood on Craigslist for $50 each, pristine.

I did forget to add that they do have a great selection of golf shirts, Nike, UA, Polo etc.

Well I hope the ones around here do not read up on that---- We get stuff they scrap out at work--- About 6 months ago I found a full set of EYE2s in a scrap bin and bought them cheap.

Goodwill stores in our area don't seem to get many golf clubs unless they are pre-2000 (and usually older). Of those that do show up, they are not usually matched sets. Often these are single clubs, that go for $5 or less.

 

One reason may be the large number of area First Tee programs for kids. Golfers turn in the clubs to the pros that run the First Tee, and the pros turn them in for store credit at Play It Again Sports. PIAS helps locate clubs for the children who participate.
