My favorite cast member ever on there was Don “pull that tape tight!” Donatello. I was pulling for him and also wanted to punch him in the face. I miss the show too. That new show they were doing at top golf was horrible. I never could even make it thru one episode.

Didn’t big break disappear right around the same time Adams did? Maybe they couldn’t get another equipment sponsor for the show. Or the tours got tired of giving spots to some (not all, obviously) unqualified big break winners.

I liked..{maybe the only one} the golf discussion show..it had Hawk..Charles Davis Jeff Rudd sic...and others. It was more interesting than most anything else I watched on GC. I'm for bringing it back.I think Grey Goose 19th hole..was the name.

I liked seeing how the big break contestants fared in their careers. Neat to see names like Richie Werenski pop up on a leaderboard from time to time.

I don't know if I'd call it "bad" golf. Nearly all the contestants were former college and mini tour players. A handful have gone on to earn status on the big tours.

 

I'd say that qualifies as pretty good. Of course it's not PGA Tour quality golf, because it's not the PGA Tour. That's part of what makes it interesting.

I remember watching when Tony Finau was a contestant, not having a clue or care who the kid was. Never thought to myself "this kid can hit cool trick shots around a wall, he will play in the Ryder Cup some day." Awesome to see where he is now in the world of golf...

Watched it a bit, and I freely admit I enjoyed some of it, but it kind of ran its course after awhile, for me anyway.

I watched enough of it to know that there were a lot of bad shots and not enough good ones to keep my interest. Then you add in the manufactured drama and you have a cancellation in my eyes.

I’d imagine the production costs were very high especially when they left the continental US in terms of staff and travel etc. And the return was probably low on the advertising dollars paid.
