A few contributions . . .

 

Mac V-foils - full raw.

 

Hogan Red-lines - full faces are raw, chrome is present everywhere else.

 

Hogan ‘99 Apex - part of the faces are raw, chrome is present everywhere else.

A combo set of raw National Custom Works heads are somewhere in the pipeline at the moment.

Continental does Raw Refinishes on Irons? Didn't know that.

 

They've done work on 5 or 6 metal woods of mine, but never thought about the irons!

They stripped my heads, but I do not believe they will re-chrome.

 

If you’ve had clubs refinished in the past you know how easy Justin, Stuart and the ‘crew’ are to work with.

 

Not the least expensive out there but I would rather spend a few extra dollars to receive their quality work and exceptional customer service.

I wouldn't do any rechroming. Just a strip raw. Didn't know they offered that. Would be nice to work with fellas I'm familiar with during this process (first timer).

Has anyone done this in the UK and can recommend a company?

 

I've got a few sets and some wedges that I'd love to get done but worried about the finish of the heads afterwards. I'd like to have them bead blasted/tumbled and finished nicely after without the worry of asking someone who hasn't dealt with golf clubs before.

 

(Preferably in the south but can obviously post if required.)

Love those old IDEAs.

They are my all time favourites, along with some mint MP32s! But these just slightly pip it just because they are raw!!

I loved my MB2's but they would rust up so fast. Not enough hours in the day to maintain them they way I would like!

These were my Bridgestone J15's, they were stripped and then hot oil dipped, they came out like this, i did sell them, but i did love the finish

My Raw Apex MB's that I think I got in August. I have a backup set still in the wrapper... these things are unreal when still new. Might be able to find a pic from when I first got them.

What did you ask the shop to do? Just strip the chrome and leave raw? Did you ask for a finish or to bead blast?

any reason i can't find pga pro on tour using the raw?

 

Why would you care what a pro on tour uses??

 

Majority are paid to play clubs, and a lot of the clubs they use are so customised to each players look it's not something you could buy anyways.

Just brought the heads to a local metal shop and had them do a strip if the Chrome/Nickle layers. I enjoy the rust so just let them sit out after a couple early morning rounds to get the color to where it is now.
