Do Mizuno iron players use Mizuno wedges?

Yep. I have the t7 in 50/57 and s18 in 56 that I have playing this winter. Love them both for different reasons. Killed leading edge on the s18 is fantastic various shots. Trajectory on t7 is perfect to me.

I have T7s in SW and LW. I like how the head is very small and works well on soft/soggy conditions. The boron infusion seems to add wear life thus far.

 

RTX4s for back up depending on firm conditions.

 

Bounce and grind is everything to me although you get the odd ball that argue it doesn’t matter.

You can never go wrong with vokey. I have tried the whole spectrum and always find myself with vokey in the bag although a 60 hightoe I grinder may be staying

Still playing S5s while collecting S18s for the Summer. Just ventured into MP-54s after trying H5s and 850 Forged previously. I guess that would make me a Mizuno irons & wedges player.

I also have a SCOR 4161/Bettinardi H2 setup at 43-48-54-60 that are equally soft feeling. The cashmere H2s are outstanding.

I am currently gaming Mizzy irons and Vokey wedges and the reason why I started this post was because I was feeling the opposite.

 

Shape wise they flow well but I find the Vokeys to be a bit clicky (harder feel??) compared to the Mizzy pitching wedge hence why I wanted to explore Mizzy wedges.

Gaming some Cleveland RTX-3's (Raw) with my MP-64's since the middle of the year. Not quite as buttery as Vokeys, but still very playable. For some reason the V-grind agrees with me so I have no complaints at all

 

Haven't had much opportunity to try out Mizuno wedges, TBH. Not many of my buddies game them, and the ones that do are left-handed lol.

Same here just never had the same love for Mizuno Wedges that I do for the irons.

I actually have asked them several times to make gap in the same iron. No luck

I game a set of MP33s with Vokey raw wedges. But, have to say those Mizuno T-7 wedges have my interest.

Been using mizzy wedges fir last 4 yrs or so, b4 that vokeys but than the heads got bigger and didnt care for em

 

Few years ago I tried all wedges again from everyone just to see and ended right back with Mizuno

 

I dont need fancy grinds (got really into that awhile back and results were same so) just basic wedges, think my 60 has bit of C GRIND but whateves

 

I know bounce I like and I am good, I do rotate the face alot depending on shots and can hit em with any grind pretty much so

 

The feel and size of head in mizzy is what I love.....currently not using mizzy irons but wedges stay regardless

Used to play MP-T10/11/4 but no one around here is carrying Mizuno anymore so they weren't really even an option the last time I swapped wedges.

 

It is a shame though how Mizuno doesn't market and tell us about the different grinds available.

Play JPX 900 Tour 4-PW but went with Mack Daddy Forged for my 50, 54 and 58. Have loved the MDFs but they are wearing down and will probably need to be replaced sometime this year. Will definitely consider Mizuno wedges when it’s time, whatever the newest model is. The T7 felt a bit firm last time I changed out wedges.

MP18 FliHi and SC's both T7's and S18's....all in blue. When I'm on, the T7's are hard to beat. They give me more confidence on touchy shots because they sit beautifully when slightly open. S18's are more forgiving, especially on full shots (for me), but dont look as neat to my eyes when opened up. I will say, my 58* S18 is a wonderful bunker club.

 

I often see comments about the T7's feeling a bit hard. I would agree with that with a caveat...if middled, they're as soft as anything out there. But it's not super easy to middle them. Outside of the sweetspot, they're definitely hard...and I think that's where a lot of this criticism comes from.

 

What I always find funny is, I could show up to a weekend round with a brand new, just released driver, but the clubs that always get comments are my blue wedges

Big T12 fan. Used to use Vokeys but found the Mizuno wedges felt softer (easier to feel/gauge distance).

 

For me, it's easier to create shots with the Mizuno.

When i played mizuno irons i used their r12 wedges and loved them. My son actually plays them now. I had new wedges built when i had my new irons built. Took me like 2 months to not hate them and 6 to finally trust them. Next wedges will be mizuno again.

I'm loving my JPX 900 Tours and was thinking about putting a mizuno 50* in the bag. I picked up a T5 for cheap several months back but never even tried it. It has more offset than my PW. Mizuno publishes offset for their irons, but not wedges. So dumb. Anyone have any offset numbers on the T7? Or can someone compare offset of the T7 to a JPX Tour or MP-18 PW? Thanks!

Yes - I have T7 wedges now (52/58) and previously had the MP-T5 wedges. I really like them.

I custom ordered a mixed set and was offered a free wedge, so I got the S18 50* gw, after a week I ordered s18 54 60

 

Ive used vokey for past 10 years, and I picked up set of Miura wedges, and they never made it in the bag

 

Were you offered the free wedge direct from Mizzy?

Irons are 64's and last season finally went to T7's. Really really good wedges. Had Callaway before that and am happy with the switch. Feel, flight & looks of the T7 are all tops for me
