I don't have CB57's but I have the LH equivilent of the CB-202s, and also the MB-001 in 9i and PW. I assume most Miura's feel similar because they are triple forged the same way.

I've not hit the blade mp-18 because there's no LH version but I have hit the SC's. Honestly, there's no comparison to Miura in terms of feel. It's hard to describe really; Miura forgings are the softest yet most firm iron I've ever struck. It's weird.... It's not firm in that it's clicky - far from it. It's more of an extremely solid feeling at impact such that you know the groove that you hit the ball from... but still buttery soft on center hits.

SC's don't feel anything like that to me. They felt fairly firm on all areas of the face and pure nutted center hits were nice but not as good as old MP irons were, and not as good as the Miura's. I preferred the JPX919's over the SC's.

I currently have both and switched between the 2 most of last season. The MP 18 image the blades. I came from Titleist 690MB’s and find the MP18 to be quite forgiving for a blade. The Miura are also very forgiving for a Forged CB players iron.

It’s been talked about before on the site and I agree with what many have said. The MP18 have the soft buttery feel Mizuno is known for. Not quite as soft as the MP5 but I think the forging is denser in the MP18 line so it feels a little more solid.

The Miura feel amazing as well but more solid than the Mizuno. The head is a little large, it has a higher toe and more offset.

If you are a decent enough ball striker to consider the MP18 blades then you could play either. It would really come down to your preferences in feel and looks. They both feel great in different ways. The Miura look great but I can’t think of an iron that looks better than the MP18 blades.

I will say that I saw no difference in scoring between the 2 sets.

Are the 1957 Miura CBs larger - less compact than the MP 18 blades? If so, is there a big difference in size? Thanks.

Have owned both. Beautiful irons. CB57 was a little easier to hit for me. The sole grind is excellent. Will really go down and get it in the rough. In terms of feel both were nice, but there is something addictive about the sensation delivered at impact with a Miura.

I noticed this too about the rough. I had a shot in some decent rough from about 135... pulled the 9i and took a smooth swing (worried about a flier if I cranked one) and it cut through nice an easy, hosel never got stuck and it landed 3 feet away from the pin. I've always had a hard time playing out of the rough at that one course but the leading edge must help somehow.

CB57’s are very slightly longer heal to toe, a little thicker top line and thicker sole but there is the leading edge grind that narrows the sole a bit and improves turf interaction. Out of town until Sunday but will post comparison pics then
