I was told the diamonds are to reflect face angle. The three diamond head would be the most open.

Granted, we haven't seen detailed pictures. But, there are some pics on the USGA conforming list. The diamond heads all appear to be different shapes and sizes.

On the GolfWRX instagram post about Min Woo Lee's witb, his flash subzero is the three diamond version. To me, comparing the photos on the USGA website, the 3 star version looks significantly longer front to back than the other versions.

Difficult to say. The angles and distances from which the pictures were taken are different between the two.

It designates a difference in CG for each one. 3 diamonds is what most guys are gravitating towards.

There were a few different Rogue SZ heads with different amounts of spin as well (Rogue SZ-V and others had different serial numbers), so the diamonds is just an easier way to delineate between the different heads.

Add Ollie Schneiderjans to the list plying triple diamond.

Callaway usually has a smaller CG, Tour-Only offering, and have used the "double black diamond" in the past to designate the lowering spinning, lower CG, "harder to hit" version of their offerings. I would have to imagine this is some sort of continuation on that trend, likely somewhere in the 440cc range and deeper faced. Pics can be deceiving when they aren't in the same photo side-by-side.

Something about it bothers me. If the driver works for me, that's great. But I didn't like when TM did this either. They have these pros touting the companies latest and greatest. When in all reality, they're playing a completely different club.

I know tour issue designs are not new. But Callaway can't be thrilled all their pros want an alternate crown design.

Make an epic flash with standard red accents, no line on the top, the exact shape as the razr fit xtreme at 440cc with the sound fixed and I’m in. Otherwise it’s the m5 tour or the g410.

It has more to do with face design and CG I believe. The 2 diamond is for players that miss towards the toe, 3 diamonds I believe is high on the face and I don't know about 1 diamond.

I have the 2 diamond and it is significantly better on my toe misses.

They all seem to be different shapes and sizes. I'd love to see some pics of your double diamond head if you were so inclined. Does the face seem taller? It looks more compact.

That is a very interesting theory. With the artificial intelligence behind the face it would make sense for callaway to design club faces that suit certain misses better than other ones. Though you would think that if this is a possibility, why wouldn't they make this an option for the everyday consumer,? I have been a long time callaway loyalist, but this is putting a bad taste in my mouth. The thought that tour players are getting significantly superior product to than the consumer is aggravating. I am fully aware that for the majority of average golfers, a "strike specific" face is effectively useless. but for the more advanced players with a consistent, or predictable miss, why would they not want to provide them with the best possible driver?
