LOVE the black on black PING wedges...

I'm in agreement with TheKrushh I hope he gets to hang around because he looks to be fun to watch and has a TON of talent. Also, dude BOMBS it... 190+ MPH ball speed. The weight of that Fujikura Pro surprises me with the 63 model because of his speed... but that shaft when tipped is one of the stoutest pieces of graphite out there. I remember at the end of my golf pro days when I was working with one of the players on the D1 team I worked with that had 185+ ball speed the tour rep at the time told me to tip the 73 gram Fujikura Pro TS but tip it 1-1.5" more than standard and it becomes unbelievably stiff.

Still interesting though...

Man I was thinking the same thing. I didn't know that about tipping that shaft. It is interesting that of all the shafts, he picks this one. Also interesting to see the S wedges. I know he isn't swinging out of his shoes on wedges, most most other high speed tour players play the X that I can of (other than TW)

Was never really a big PING fan, but recently (and especially with this setup), I am becoming more and more a fan. Might have to seriously try their stuff out!

How is no one mentioning the Rapture 2i? That thing was solid but insanely difficult to hit for me. I liked the look a lot more than the Crossovers, but you can't argue that the Rapture was more difficult to hit than a blade in my opinion.

wouldn't have expected a 63 gram driver shaft given his speed

Surprisingly, the Fuji Pro Tour Spec 63 has a slightly stiffer tip section than the 73 gram version of the same shaft. I just completed testing with both (and have speed comparable to Champ's) and found the 63 was the better choice. I was very surprised that between the two weights, the 63 can actually play a bit firmer

He really wants people to know he swings fast. They don’t make a double x flex with Tour AD shafts that’s printed on the shaft (they go as high as TX) so he’s counting his tipping as an extra flex and he did the same thing with his matrix 5 wood shaft - they don’t make a “XXX” flex. They go up to double X on Matrix

Yes. Former long driver, ballspeeds with 45" driver are 193-196 mph (swing speed is 128-131 mph)
