Looks like there is a new finish to the Vokey's. I have not seen this posted yet. $199 per wedge. Also, it looks like the stock wedges went up to $175 per club, but can be found for $150 all over the net.

The rich slate finish with a tint of blue provides a premium look, with the finish durability of a traditional chrome wedge. The stock build for these wedges includes a Nippon N.S. It’s slate blue chrome. It will last as long as chrome lasts according to the email I got from them.

Would have been sick if they released the AP2 in Slate Blue instead of Black. Also surprised the K grind isn't in 56 yet.

Crossfield has them in his vlog against Bernd Weisberger and says they're essentially raw but won't ever wear out or degrade and the premium price is to account for the fact that you won't have to replace them (as often).

 

Not sure if that's true but he seems to think it is.

It’s a good point. Will be interesting to see how these wear. People have been knocking the black PVD finish of the AP2s saying that the finish won’t be as durable as the dbm line from Cobra and others, so if this finish really holds up like chrome, which I would think is as or more durable than the dbm finish, why wouldn’t they release this as an iron finish? Even with the bluish twinge I would think their iron line would sell extremely well in this finish if it truly holds up like chrome.

pretty sure $175 was always the msrp for the current line since release? my memory might be a bit fuzzy, but i thought i remembered everyone(sans DD) selling them for $175 last season when they were introduced.

Saw this as well. Might be some conflicting info; like raw and like chrome? We shall see.

Good to see OEM’s giving some thought to the shafts they’re putting in their wedges. The TI S400 is at least half the reason I have the RTX4 in play.

there's an indigo version (re: blue) in the Vokeys from a few years ago

I have one in the SM4 with old school 452 head shape

and know they made one in the SM5 too

Indigo was nice but didn't wear all that well. Hoping this one is better.

This is a chrome blue. I've had this finish in the t grind for 6 months. Still looks new, but wears like chrome. The old indigo wore very quickly.
