Hey JL,

No worries, I don't think many people are reading this anyway so we can threadjack all we want LoL

It's actually the OTHER dome, in Kirkland. Never been to the UFO one

I'm at Whitlock and have been for many years. How about you?

There's so many lefties here it's always funny to hear the comments on WRX! LoL

Honestly in Quebec, were probably like 30-40% of golfers. Ive been in all-lefty foursomes. I know that in other parts of the Americas it can be like <10%. It's just really common here

Do you think that's due to the hockey influence? I remember seeing an article within the last few years noting that historically approximately 70% of the players in the NHL have played left handed.

The golf driving range I use has a very nice pro shop attached to it. They have a nice used section as well. I was there Saturday, probably 60% of the used gear is for lefties. One whole rack for new lefty irons. (West Coast, BC)

I pictured you being older and right handed.

Nice floor!

I just put the Apex 16 irons in my bag.

37! I only feel old....But i think everyone feels old. All the people who work for me now are 25-26 and they always tell me they are old.

No one ever thinks they are young LOL

The regular Apex? Those badboys were really sweet. I considered getting those instead of the pros when we got fit in Carlsbad, they are really nice

I definitely think so, the nature of hockey makes it so having left handed players is crucial....kind of like how shortstops and 3rd basemen have to be righties. It helps to have guys who can shoot lefty

Many of these guys also play golf lefty.....a lot of them are actually right handed too

I am a pure lefty, meaning i swing/kick/write all left handed and also am a militant socialist.

I'm kidding about that last part.

Came here to say something sarcastic/funny about you being a leftie. Can’t think of anything.

Watching your swing when I see that waggle the first thing I think is “hockey”. I don’t know if you play hockey but you’re Canadian so I’m choosing fo profile you, respectfully (of course)

Hi Jeff,

I play at Lévis Golf Club, an old course with tight fairways and old school greens. From what I've heard Whitlock offers a great country club experience and playing experience, never played it though. What are your top picks course-wise in your area? Played a few but looking for a hidden gem

Have you played quatre domaines #2 in the summer? Very nice track with white sand bunkers. Stretches out to 7k from tips too.

Des seigneur and des Braves at "le versant" also are really nice

Yes I played them all. Des Seigneurs is a great layout with a few scenic views. Quatre domaines is also a great course, #1 is OK, but #2 is worth the ride from Qc! I can't wait for the season to begin!

How does forgiveness rank for you with the G400Max versus the Epic SZ?

Way better if you're combining perception and it's effect on real world events i guess. I am sure in a lab they are not as far off as i think....But the Epic SZ to me will go down with classics like the SLDR430 or Rapture V1, drivers that when nutted were just bonkers but either felt dull, or felt like they lost a lot when not hit perfectly. I've compared it to the Rapture V1 many times

If i stand on the tee with a driver needing to hit a fairway because i'm up 1 in a club championship , the Epic wouldn't be in the top 20 drivers i've ever hit. The G400 Max would have a good shot at being #1. However i still haven't found a driver that does better on an LM than the Epic

Nice. Perception is important for sure. Thanks for the feedback. The G400 Max is super intriguing but it's still commanding top dollar whereas the Epic SZ can be found for pretty decent prices nowadays. The numbers I've seen for the G410 make it seem only marginally better than the G400 Max so I think I'll wait a bit longer to see if the G400 Max drops a little more.

Honestly man, i wouldn't distinguish too much between the Ping heads. Some guys get mad at me here for saying that but i just don't see a big difference between them. We're talking a few hundred RPM and minimal forgiveness differences (they are all VERY forgiving). In the real world this is relatively meaningless

I didn't pay full price for the G400Max, i got a slightly used one for trade-ins and 100$....that's why i got it. I would've gotten the regular G400 or LST without a second of hesitation. I had a Black Tie 80 with a Ping adapter ready for any of the heads and i didnt care which

I was coming from a G LST using the same shaft. There's not much difference between that club and the MAX....maybe a couple hundred RPM. If the MAX is #1 on my list of drivers to hit a fairway, the G LS might be #2....

Man I miss UFO indoor range !

I'm posted in CFB Gagetown, NB for a year now, can't wait to get back to the MTL area.

The only indoor range we have here is at UNB Fieldhouse and it's freaking 50 dollars for an hour.

Are you in the military? assume so. My brother is posted in Trenton right now, off active duty working at the airport there. He did a couple of tours in Afghanistan

Yes I'm a Junior Officer (Artillery), I joined last year so I don't have any Tour yet. I'm still in the officer training system. It's quite long to be trade qualified!

Trenton is an Air Force Base, it's like a 5-star hotel for us heheh. Engineers, Pilots, Logistiks and few other trades are training there.

In fact, Artillery is a lot like golf, but I'm shooting at target up to 25km in range. There's a lot of similarities between rounds' ballistik and a golf ball (drifting, spin rate, high angle vs. low angle shots, wind factor, etc.). We use a lot of technology similar to a Trackman, It's great!

The good side of it is there is a lot of awesome golf course in the Maritimes for very cheap! I'm looking to play Cabot Links at some point next summer. I wish I could be on the Base's golf team.
